We're heading to Disney in a few weeks, so I was planning on purchasing the tickets in advance. I am traveling with 4 adults and we will be at the parks for either 2 or 3 days. When you purchase a 5 day package, are the tickets stamped for Day 1, Day 2, etc? I was thinking of buying a 10 day package and then sharing the tickets among my group because its definitely cheaper, but I'm not sure if this is allowed since we're not there for 10 days. ??

Tickets are not transferable. Buying 1 ticket for several people isn't going to work. Once the ticket it used your finger scan will be tied to that ticket. When you buy a 10 day ticket it is 1 card not individual tickets for each day.

when we booked our tickets and picked them up at the resort (ASmo) they were plastic credit card style ones which were then tied electronically to us by finger print (which was family joke as my dad is missing the finger they scan!)

My sister bought her tickets prior to arrival via a ticket site (flex ticket??) and that was a paper/card ticket but it was still just one ticket with a magnetic strip with X days on it.

If you purchase the 5 day ticket - it is just that, one ticket good for five days of admission for one person. The tickets are not transferrable so they can't be shared.

Each person will have to purchase a ticket for the number of days they plan to visit the parks.

I'm probably misunderstanding what it is you're wanting to do, but it sounds like you are wanting to get multiple people in to the parks on the same day using the same ticket. All the days of the ten day package would be on the same physical ticket - you wouldn't get ten single day tickets. Once one person has used the ticket it's theirs, and it can't be transferred to anyone else.

(In addition, you can't use multiple days from a single multi-day ticket on the same day, so it wouldn't work even if it was transferable. Some people have tried to avoid paying for the hopper option on their tickets by attempting to use multiple single days admission on the same day to get into different parks, and that is not allowed.)

Thanks for the replies. I was not aware how the tickets worked. I did not know that it was a card/ticket that was tied to a particular person. I thought the 10 day package would be 10 individual tickets, kind of like when you go to the movies. You buy 10 tickets for 10 people. Now I understand much better. Thanks for explaining this to me!
