I NEED a trip to DL.

Hi staley! My dh is watching Lost and he tells me to get Lost when it comes on!!!

Ok back to the babysitting thing. Are you thinking of dinner alone with dh or part of the day. I want to live through you because we never have time alone there!!! Spill the details woman!

Oh, sheesh, I dont know! I would kill for dinner alone with my dh.....Its been about a year since we had kid free time. (at all!) But I foud a company that does nanny service there, so we thought that we might get help for a day with the kids. I dont know that I could leave the kids with someone....Its $16. per hour for someone to help at the park, and $14. per hour for them to watch the kids in the hotel.

I hear you! We would love to go by ourselves! But that probably wont happen until my baby is much older, and isnt so freaked out by people. (her grandparents, namely!)

haha. I'm working up the courage to ask her to meet me at Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. I figure if I am going to do it I might as well go all out right? She said they tend to point people she is with out since she is a regular!!! Maybe I want that full experience!!!

Ok, back to reality!!! Sunday is going to be your first day right? And we are planning on doing the birthday party then right? That will be some birthday party. We will take up half the plaza inn!

Yeah, Sunday is going to be our first whole day. We come in early saturday afternoon, and we figured that we would do Goofys Kitchen for dinner since the park is going to be super busy. Heck yeah we are doing the birthday party, I was the one who asked about any ideas for my dhs birthday! I am soooo excited about going to dl!!!!

Well I'd have to say that being older does seem to have its benefits. My children are mostly grown. Ages- 28, 26, 24 and 13. Yes there are 11 years between my last two. Yes it was plannned. Anyways, on our trip in Dec., my 13 year old took a friend, and we trusted them to be on their own a little bit. They had to check in, and carry a cell phone, and we stayed at the GC because it was so close. (Now I'm spoiled). It was pretty nice for DH and I. Sooooooo your time will come.

Thanks for the encouragement. My mom always reminds me that I have small children so these days will come and then I will miss my kids being little and depending on me!

Hmm definitely do ariels grotto. I really like Goofy's too. It's so much fun.

I havent done the Lilo and Stitch meal but I have been meaning to. You'll have to tell me how it is since I dont think we will get there this next trip.

There's also Napa Rose for a nice place to eat and Hooks Pointe. I havent eaten at the carnation cafe in a long time but I am planning on doing it this time!

Is it weird that I like the song by weird al Canadian Idiot? My DH says it's not a nice song but I quite like it.

When you guys are going in June are you taking your kiddies out of school or will they be done then? If it's a low crowd time I might be able to convince my DH to go then instead of November.

Don't know if it was answered yet, haven't read all posts yet!! My DD gets out on the 7th at 3:11 pm and we are leaving for DL at 3:12 pm. It's not a super low crowd time, we were there the same week the last two years in a row, and while it wasn't big summer crowds yet, it definitely is NOT off season.

But that would be awesome if you could make it, we would all love to meet up with you. You may be able to get the HOJO rate and that would be an even better deal.

I could tell you what DH doesn't normally do, and what I have not done as an adult at DL, but then you would probably have to kill us and boot us from the trip...

Great people!! Just great!!! Now DD is probably going to have to miss her very last day of school thanks to you all getting there so darn early. What to do? What to do?

I can't decide. I guess since it doesn't make me need another hotel night, I could just decide at the last minute to surprise you all at the gates at opening. Yeah that's it, I'll sneak up on all of you. You won't suspect a thing!!

(I don't recommend the pot pie though!) I would love to do Lilo and Stitch except every time I want to, I just never want to walk all the way over there in the morning

I also would like to try the Jazz Kitchen, but I think we are doing that in April with my family because my Uncle will really love it. So I'll let you know how it is if we do it then! I am not a huge spicy cajun creole type eater, so I am unsure of how I'll feel.

I've never had the pot pie at Ariel's. What does it taste like? I always order the striker penne pasta. It's delicious!
