We are going to be in WDW from June 15th-25th and I would like to give my 11 year old DS a big "Atta boy" for his performance in school this year. (This kid has had a major turnaround - went from "C"s and "D"s to "A"s and "B"s) We have been to WDW only once before and I have never been to DTD so I don't know what's there. I want it to be something that makes his jaw drop in disbelief.

His current interests are - Japanese Anime and Manga, Computer Games and other platforms, Things Medieval, Lego, animals.

Is there a lego store at DTD? I was thinking I would take him in there and say "Anything you want!" (How would we get it home???)

Or if there is some special tour or activity I could get him into that would be cool too.

There is a lego store in DTD. And they can ship it home for you. There also may be some stuff at the Japanese pavilion in Epcot that he may like. Congrats to him!

There is a lego store at DTD and I am sure he will love it. Another thing that came to mind is the store in the Japan pavilion at Epcot they have lots of cool Japanese Anime, stuff you can't find elsewhere.

As far as tour or activity - how about renting water sprites from one of the resorts, my dd is 11 and she LOVES this. Depending on the restrictions he may be able to drive his own or drive with an adult.

Kudos to your son, sounds like he worked hard this year.

Looks like we had the same idea at the same time mommyboo!

FWIW anything you buy at Disney can be shipped home, and IMHO it was reasonable, so no worries.

Why dont you take him into Disney Quest.. They have a ton of arcade games, a build your own rollercoaster, which he can ride after he builds. There is also a art class that can be taken, which shows you how you can draw Disney Charachters. After going there then I would take him to the Lego shop and out to lunch and maybe at lunch give him a little cake that says Way to go or something like that! :) I think he will really appreciate it. :sunny: WTG to your son!!
