We're going to dinner at 1900 Park Fare and DD will be dressed up -- so if I don't somehow come up with a Prince costume for her little brother he'll be cross-dressing as Cinderella II. Which he doesn't hesitate to do, and it's really fine as he's only 4, but I already have enough photos of him dancing around in princess gear for all foreseeable future blackmail purposes.

If I can get a photo I'm thinking I can sew something up (as I'm planning on making her dress, also.) I thought I saw some somewhere but can't find them now.

thanks!

If I can figure out how to add a picture I'll post one

Hopefully these will help you:

Now I have just what I need to begin figuring the costumes all out...starting with, do i really want to take this on...?

HOw about red pants, white jacket (or even tucked in button down shirt) and buy some notions to dress it up? Like some black or gold frog clasps in place of the fancy stitching on the shirt? Or some gold tassles in place of the epulets (sp?) on the shoulders? These are sort of makeshift ideas, but may help if you want something quick and dirty (and one time wear) instead of making something fancy). Good luck - and post pics! JJ

:goodvibes I made costumes for my DD and then all her friends and even her 2nd grade class (when I got it in my brain to do the Nutcracker)....so I thought I'd share some quick and easy tips!

If you buy red or yellow electrical tape you can just tape a stripe down the sides of some black pants. You can buy ready made epalets in the notions of sewing departments and can even use the same tape to put a stripe around the cuffs of the sleeves of a jacket. Pin some of the Disney pins with 'dangles' on his chest pocket and voila! And then let him carry a sword in a belt and he will probably be as happy as if he were wearing a Cinderella dress!

I think Prince Charming must have alot of plastic surgery. He looks SOOOO different in each photo. :rotfl2:
