Hi gang,
I have been away for a few months. We were in WDW for Thanksgiving and bought APs because we also were there in January. We thought that was it for 2009..... We are relatively new DVC members and our January trip was on development points. (we used the remainder of our points for a Mexico exchange that will happen next month) Our original plan was to bank our regular points that we received in Dec 08 and to combine them with the Dec 09 points for a big trip in 2010. Now I am getting the itch to make just one more short trip before our APs expire in late November. So.. with all that said...
I need to try and find 3 nights in a 1 BR (Fri, Sat & Sun or Thurs, Fri & Sat) at pretty much any DVC resort, we are hoping to go in early October. We are pretty flexible and could do September as well. Any suggestions on how to go about this? I know I just need to call and see what is available but I thought maybe you guys might have some ideas of when might be a good time to find some availability... like when is it less crowded for DVC? LOL Our home resort is AK, if that matters. Is this even possible at this late date? Thanks for the help!

Your home resort is pretty much useless at this point, since you are inside of 7 months. You will have a very hard time getting (IMO) BWV, BCV, as it is F&W at Epcot. Also, with BLT being new, I would guess that would be tough. That being said, call tomorrow and see what they have. There isn't a penalty for trying!

It's a VERY popular time of year for DVC, but with the economy the way it is, you may just get lucky! GO FOR IT! :thumbsup2

Call as soon as you can. If you go in September, unless it's the last weekend, you'll miss F&W but there could be a MNSSHP that you'll be able to go to.

MS will look up every weekend for you! I hope you find something!
