Does anyone know where/how you find one of these? Call the county?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Most banks/credit unions have someone who is a notary. If it's a bank where you have an account, they may offer their services for free. Some realtor offices have a notary.

Good Luck -

DW is one but most finance places are.

They have 3 or 4 up at her work that do it so they take care of each other as they can't do family and so forth.

Many companies have them around work. Usually an admin secretary or similar, many church secretaries are as well, ask around.

Our bank has them. Also, our local AAA office has one and it's free for us because we're AAA members.

Libraries and town offices usually have at least one person who is a Notary.

The secretary at our school was a notary. Others have already been mentioned.

Your insurance company probably has one, too, if you have a local office. That's who did our documents, and it was free because we bought our house insurance thru them. :goodvibes

Our local Pakmail (similar to UPS Store) has Notary Services --for a fee--about $7.

I would try your bank/credit union or AAA first because the service is usually free for memebers.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to post. We called around and ended up being able to have our documents notarized on Saturday afternoon for free at our bank! It was very easy and you all helped. DH and I sat down last evening and signed the other 60 or so pages we needed to and I got the package off to the Fed Ex box at the local post office.

Soon all our I-s will be dotted and T-s crossed. We're easy, right now just enjoying the great tote bag with fun reading :goodvibes

Take care,
Teresa
