The TV in my bedroom died last week. Luckily it waited until summer when I don't have anything to watch. It's about 15 years old and has been repaired once already. DH seems to think it would make more sense to buy a new one. He keeps telling me everything is going to convert to digital (eventually) and we won't be able to use our old TV's anymore.
So anyway, we're in the market for a new TV. The old one was a 19" Sharp. Although I would like to have a bigger one, a 20" is about the biggest that will fit in the area where I need to put it.
I'm clueless when it comes to all the different types available right now. We don't want to spend too much, but we want one with a good picture that's going to last. Is a flat screen (not flat panel) better than the old type (not sure what's it's called)? Circuit City has a Magnavox 20" flat screen on sale for $107. Is Magnavox a good name? Is that a good price?
