I need a new scale

I have to go out and buy a new scale today because I can barely read those little lines and then when I lean over to read it, the dial moves and it's so frustrating! Bed Bath and Beyond looks like it has some nice digital ones by Thinner but I've never heard of that. I just want one that's accurate and easy to read! Anybody else get frustrated trying to read those little lines?

I actually like those kind compared to Digital! I dont' know if it is just me or I have a sucky scale, but my digital scale is NEVER accurate! It says one weight one minute and a second later it says another weight?? What is up with that?? I hate it and I am buying a new one today and it is an old manual type! Much better for me!

oooohhh-better be prepared....I got a new scale Monday and it was 8 pounds heavier than my dial one.
I always had that phrase down pat: "the scale at the doctor's office must be off 8-10 pounds--no way I weigh THAT" funny thing is, ALL the doctor's scales were the SAME STORY!!!
So, I decided to get off it, and get the new one-digital. After a few hours of denial, I weighed my 10lb. dumbells. yep. right on the money-20 lbs.
So, I am okay with it now, because I figure when I go to the doctor's office, I won't be freaking out.
Get the new scale--you'll love it!

Beastlover, I'm was afraid there would be a difference between my old scale and a new one . I have heard a few people say they don't like digital. I've had 2 digital scales that were not accurate, and was all set to get a regular dial scale. Then I tried my Uncle's scale (I think the brand is Taylor), and it seemed accurate. I ended up buying a Taylor for myself, similar to my Uncle's but not exactly, and now I LOVE it! It is accurate, and I can get on and off the scale 5 times and each time I'll weigh the same (unlike one of my previous digitals!).

I guess the key is if you're going to get a digital, do some research and get a good one, and be willing to pay for it. (I think mine was about $50, but keep in mind that things tend to be more expensive in Hawaii.)

Well I went to Bed Bath and Beyond. Not only did I get a scale, but I also got pilates for dummies and a Yoga starter kit which was a video, ball and pump. Bed Bath & Beyond sends 20% coupons to me every other week so had 4 with me. The clerk told me I could use one coupon per item up to four items so I got $12 off the scale, $6 off the yoga kit and $2 off the tape.

I tried every scale there, digital and the regular kind with the dial. One dial one was way off. The other was 2 pounds off, and the digitals were pretty on target except for one which was way out there (told me I was 10 pounds lighter than I am, although thoses numbers looked good. I bought a Thinner Digital scale. I tried it 3 different times and got the same weight each time then I tried it at home and there was a half lb difference so I'm happy.

So far this past week I have tried 7 different scales. Not one of them gave me the actual right weight! One even said I weighed more than before I had my GBS! I nearly had a heart attack! Another said I weighed 80lbs less(I really liked that scale!)
