I need a Mentor! :-)

Years ago (ugh - literally) I had a WISH buddy and she was great! Life got in the way, she fell off the wagon and disappeared from the DIS (GASP!) and then I fell off (ALWAYS on the DIS though!) and now I need to start over.

I was wondering if instead of a Buddy anyone would be my Mentor? I would of course love any Buddies - I posted on the starting over thread. But what I really need is someone who has been there and done that who could guide me through the process. Someone who has lost and maintined their loss for some time. Make sense?

I have a lot to lose. Previously I have been most successful with Atkins, but I do not have any program chosen yet so I am open to suggestions! :cheer2: My biggest challenge with Atkins turned out to be maintenance!

I am on the DIS everyday and have been here for years someone of like mind would be ideal.

Any takers? Pretty Please? I welcome all input :Pinkbounc

OK - after looking at plans all day, I have no idea which one I should do! I am not sure Atkins will be the right choice after all. So, I am back at square one trying to choose a plan. Maybe WW? Off to do more reading......

Check on some of the threads here and see what everyone is doing. The threads here could lead you to the person you seek and if you consider participating in several threads you will find you will have many who will offer help.

We all get stuck while going through changes to the healthy lifestyle and if you have a particular moment of need give a holler.

As far as what plan will work for you, that is difficult. You must make that decision. You are approaching it logically by reading of the different opportunities. Keep in mind when you are cruising for what will work for you that it is a healthy lifestyle choice you want to make and one to give you comfort and success. Try something and if one does not work try another.

Don't give up, keep moving and look for those healthy choices.

I'm also starting over, did the WW and the shakes etc... this time I'm trying 6 weeks body makeover... it's to speed up my motabolism and to keep away from types of food that slows it down, also to reduce my intake of salt... I eat 5 to 6 times a day and I've lost 5 pounds in a week and a half. So good results. I will make it this time around, I know what to eat to shed the pounds. You can pm me any time for support, I know you want a mentor... but a buddy sometimes help... I keep reading from here every day, so I too am on the Dis every day... Good luck!!!
