Can I be greedy and ask for a hug? It has been a year since I lost my 7 year old cat to complications of diabetes.. I miss her so much and I wanted to shout to the world how much I love her and how I can't wait to see her on the rainbow bridge (which by the way I still can' read the poem).... oK thanks for letting me tell my little girl how much I miss her...

I hear ya~I've got a border collie mix and a black lab that died in a house-fire almost 9 yrs ago waiting at the "bridge" for me They are such a big part of our lives The boxer/lab in my avatar escaped the fire

I know how tough it can be.

My Garfield has been gone for over 2 years now. I got a pair of tabby brothers a few months after he left us, but it's not the same. These guys may look like him, but man - personality differences are huge!

It is a horrible pain, people who do not have pets just don't understand. I see in your signature you have 2 one year old kitties. I am guessing you adopted them after your loss. I did the same , you will never forget your baby who passed but you gave her a wonderful life and will continue to be a great pet mom I am sure. from one pet mum to another.

Hugs for you, in a big way!

I lost my cat AND my dog to diabetes complications, although they both did well living with diabetes for several years. I still miss them, and just this week planted new flowers around their graves (they are in the back yard).

I am never able to read the Rainbow Bridge without choking up.....

Sorry for your loss. Our cat Charlotte also was diabetic. We lost her when she was 17 years old. She had it for the last 5 years of her life.
So I feel your pain.
Have you given any thought to taking in a new kitty. So many need loving homes. Sounds like you have some love to share.

We lost one of our cats last weekend. He was showing signs of liver failure and had an enlarged kidney. He was 15 years old. I got him, his sister, and mother not long after I bought my house. We were a family! I later married and we added two children, three rabbits, and two frogs to the family. We are still grieving over the loss of Biscuit. His sister Missy is lost without him. We share your love of cats and share your pain of loss also.
