I work in an office of active duty military - in the military, the army moves you around to different jobs/places during your career. I am a civilian worker. If I wanted to leave this job, I would have to find a job to apply for and actually get the job. I love my job and plan on staying until retirement which will be in about 20 years! All the time, people make jokes about how long I've been here (15 years) and about how I'm probably never leaving it. I need a good come-back line that will shut them up! Some people don't like their jobs and can't wait until retirement when they believe life will be a better one for them - I love my life now as it is.
