my fave thing is when my DS fogets the characters aren't just some guy in a costume. His face lights up and I get that lump in my throat and yeah it's my fave moment.
I still tear up and get a lump in my throat when I walk down Main Street for the first time.
A side note....my sister and our cousin - both women in their 50's - went to WDW for the first time last summmer. Sis told me that the first time they went to the Magic Kingdom and saw the castle for the first time they both stood there and hugged and cried. That place has that affect on people...
My newest favorite was my son last summer as he stopped and watched the colors on the castle at night. We were rushing along and he grabbed my hand and stopped me and said "Mom, it's magic" and just stared at the beautiful castle and its colors. Teary moment....
In general, the incredible attention to detail. From the topiaries, to the sparkles in the sidewalk, to the hidden Mickeys, and even the crickets at the WL, the whole effect is magical!
I think the sky is bluer in Disneyworld! The reds are redder and the yellows are brighter! I know I'm a happier girl when I am there!!
Iit has got to be the castle for me. The site of the statue of Mickey and Walt in front of that castle.
I have been teary eyed just reading through this thread. It is wonderful knowing that other people are touched in the way I am by Dsiney World. That is truly the magic of Disney.
I always enjoy seeing what has changed from my previous visit, what little nuance the Imagineers have thought up to keep The World always new, regardless the number or frequency of your visits.
