I hope you get a reply about swaps, but just in case you don't find one....

We bought two new Maclaren Volos on ebay. (Each was about $75 including shipping.) For the length of our stay (9 days) it was about half the cost of renting a double. We also have used the strollers at home and are using them for a second trip in May, so they were definitely worth the money for us.

When are you staying? There are two single swaps going on right now...I know that I have availability on mine if you are going on the date that is in your ticker, not sure about the other one. The buy in on mine is $16. If you are going at the beginning of October there should be availability on the other one too.
