I must have had a 24 hour bug!

So, we were watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 and they were visiting San Diego and Legoland. It looked like it would be so cool so my husband and I said "why don't we check out the cost to go there instead of Disney World."

Then, we said "or how about the Grand Canyon or Hawaii or Cancun or Mount Rushmore!"

Yesterday, I spent hours on the internet researching trips. I went into the research on a mission.....find a really cool trip for the same amount of money we would spend at Walt Disney World.

Some of the rooms in San Diego were over $400.00 with the cheapest being $139.00 and Legoland tickets are $79.95. The cheapest trip to Hawaii was over $1,000.00 a person. The drive to the Grand Canyon is 1,339.71 miles. Etc. Etc. Etc.

We would still have to factor in a rental car, food, activities and souveniers.

Any of those trips would have been wwaayy more than our already booked and planned trip ten day trip to Walt Disney World. I even played with the dates to see if I could get any of those trips cheaper.

For our WDW trip, we are booked at Pop Century for ten days/nine nights. We have 9 day water park and more passes and the dining plan and the cost of the trip is only $2,900.00 for all three of us.

Needless to say, the trip to Walt Disney World is still intact and there will be no more "what if we went to...." talk in our house.

I honestly don't know what we were thinking. We must have had a twenty-four hour bug and a high fever!

Well, I now have confirmation that the bug has passed through my system and has completely gone away. How do I know? I took advantage of the new buy 4/get 3 free promo and changed our August reservation to May. I saved over $300.00! I am going to take that extra money and buy Pirate and Princess Party tickets!

Oh yeah, I am all cured!
