I have to say I have never been like this with ADRs before!! Typically I'm a make the res, go to res person! This trip, oy....I've made ADRs, changed ADRs, changed times, and now at 19 days out I've just added another. It's all the stupid deluxe plan's fault.

My first day, my plane lands at 1030am. I had every intention of getting on that bus, checking in at Pop, and eating in the food court, then going to DTD for a little bit to get some shopping done, taking one of the boats from PI to whichever hotel (whatever boat happens to be there) and going to DTD from the mystery hotel to HS. HS has EMH and I have an 8:10 ADR for 50's Prime Time. So I'm sitting here thinking, yeah I do love the Pop Food court but maybe there's something at DTD I could eat instead... so off to allears to look at menus. How have I been missing Paradiso 37 all this time!!?!

I figured there'd be no way at 19 days out I'd get an ADR..but then I thought maybe other people overlook it just like I have. So yeah, I ended up with a 12:55 lunch and I'm rather excited.

I am the same way! Can't stop making ADR's in advance then continuously changing plans up until the very end! Have a great time and enjoy your trip!

I'm the same way. I'm starting to think I have a sickness, lol. I can't ever leave my ADRs alone, and my trip is not until December.

We are 11 days out and I was switching and moving and changing as well. Dh said enough at two weeks out. SO, now I'm stuck with what I have. That's okay, I think I have a pretty fantastic line up now!

I feel like an indecisive spaz. First, I changed a bunch because they release FD and I added two days, then I changed some to accommodate BoG. And then I changed some just cuz the times were better after more thought.

Repeat after me -- I am not changing, I am just TWEAKING my dinning ADRs.

Must be something in the air....I am usually one to make ADRs and know exactly where we're eating, what time and I get those times without an issue and DONE! This year it's just driving me insane. I'm trying to mix in some new places, while still saving time for our favorites, it's turning in to a nightmare.

Usually by now I have our ADRs printed out, all organized with printed menus and filed away by day in our Passporter. I have to stop tweaking.....:(. It's like ADR musical chairs....when I see something open up I grab it and cancel something else. Must step away from the reservation screen LOL

What kind of irks me is that I had resort reservations for the week prior to the week we're going and had all my ADRs done, something about that week just felt complete and I sat back and didn't worry about a thing. Then they released FDing and it didn't cover our check in date so I had to move our resort reservations and change our ADRs. Now the days are all just messed up and I can't get it right.

I am not changing, I am just TWEAKING my dining ADRs. Now where's the relieved sigh smiley?

I have to admit though, I'm debating tweaking 1 more thing...I'd love to score 50's PT more around 8:45 so I'll be on the look out!!

I've been the same way for the past 5 months. Now with only a few weeks to go I find I'm just not excited about the restaurants anymore, like I've spent so much time and effort planning and changing that it just doesn't matter at this point. I guess I got ADR changing burnout. :confused3

Hopefully I will get more excited during the trip and enjoy the meals.

I thought I was done too. After a month of looking I finally got a CRT ressie. But now I want Crystal Palace too, so the search begins again :)

You are not alone, I am at day 20 and I can't stop thinking and reading on here and wondering what I should change. I wanted to add and ADR on check out day (I will still have credits) but DH is forceing me to not have a plan that day.

:lmao:

I swear it's this whole deluxe thing that's killing me. Plus I'm going solo so I don't have to cater to anyone else's tastes therefore if something pops up on a menu I like, I can go!! Since I know you're all dying of curiosity, even though this list is posted in like 8 other places (with the exception of that change I made when I started this thread) this is what I've got.

Sept 10
Lunch- Paradiso 37 at 12:55
Dinner- 50's Prime Time at 8:10 (still hoping to get this just a smidge later)

Sept 11
Breakfast- Captains Grille 9:10
Lunch- Casey's Corner (I'm a sucker for a corn dog nugget)
Dinner- Artist Point 7:10

Sept 12
Breakfast- Grand Floridian Cafe 10:35
Lunch- Beaches and Cream (whenever I meander over there)
Dinner- Coral Reef 8:35

Sept 13
Breakfast- Whispering Canyon Cafe 9:00

You eat late for dinner.....but so far your plan looks good. We actually added 50's Prime Time this year, never been there. I hope it's good.

I'm still debating on our TS meal for arrival day. I have BOMA booked...but just don't know if the family will enjoy it since they aren't as adventurous as I am when it comes to food.

Ughhh, decisions decisions.

You're in good company. Until our 2010 trip we'd primarily do QS and splurge on 1 TS meal, but in 2010 I switched to at least 1 TS per day. I booked 180 days out and all seemed good for about 2 months...and then I started getting crazy ideas..At this point it was just adding ADRs b/c I found out about things I wanted to experience...then it was tweaking things to get better times. And yes, I enjoyed it! Nothing like stalking the website. :rolleyes1 It's also on this trip where I learned that we can handle 3 TS in one day :)

In 2011 we did the deluxe plan. I'm ashamed to say that at the time we chose to add it- we had so many ADRs that I only needed to add 2 more to make up for the extra credits. I booked this trip after the 180 mark and didn't add the deluxe plan until a month out from our check in date, so I had a lot of tweaking to do. It kept me entertained. :lmao:

This trip I made ADRs at the 180 mark. I had my dining plans set for over a month on what I wanted. Within a day of booking I started changing things. As of right now I only have 1 ADR left from the 180 mark...and even that was rebooked once on day 180 b/c not all of the slots were loaded into the system right at 6am. Sure, I've added a day and had to turn everything upside down and sideways to make BoG work, but yea- TONS of changes. I "think" I'm happy with what I've got but there are still a few small adjustments I'd like to make...afterall- I need excuses to be on the dining site :rotfl2:

I'm a week out and I'm at it again!!! I just decided to switch another reservation... and I'm a little sick over it.

I was poking on the disney site, making sure all my stuff was still there and decided to go and look at the "official" (as in not allears lol) menus. Well Artist Point went and took away the one appetizer I was interested in! I read a review of the entree I wanted and it wasn't well received but I figured I could work around it, as it was only one review, then while they still have the cobbler, they took away the other dessert I had really wanted to try! :headache: I'd looked at the other signature places up around MK, as this is the night I'll be at MNSSHP so I wanted to stick around that area, but over the months nothing really appealed to me. I pulled up the Narcoossee's menu and went "Hm...I could do this. But I bet there isn't any availability." For one guest, it was too early, but when I stuck in 2 guests, I got an ADR option for 7:20, which is 10 minutes after what my Artist Point res was supposed to be at.

I ended up grabbing it while it was there. The reason I'm ill at ease over it is I love Artist Point!! I've never been to Narcoosee's and feel kind of...disloyal? But I think it's stupid to settle for a menu I'm not really jazzed over just because I like the restaurant when I could try something new and will probably end up happier in the end.

I'm making a vow not to change anything else now...it's too stressful!!!!!

I feel your pain. But remember, it's okay to try new things too. I keep telling myself that I need to stop looking, especially now that I have my Wishes Dessert ADR. However, I am sure you can agree, that it is impossible to stop.

I think you will be happy with your new choice if you let yourself. It doesn't sound like there was anything besides Cobbler left that you were wanting. Give Narcoossee's a shot. It may surprise you.

And it's not DISloyalty, if it's all DISney.:hippie:

I think its just weird because AP was top of the list must do for me. It just feels odd to have cancelled it so close to game time but its stupid to keep it if a different menu appeals to me.

I'm also guilty. I think I have my calendar burned in my memory! I'm taking my special needs sister and we have the deluxe plan. I think she will love the extra time spent with the characters at the restaurants so I have all booked except for Akershus and Chef Mickey. I had read a couple negative reviews on CM, so I wasn't even considering it. Now hugging Mickey is all she can talk about so I'm scouring the reservations page everyday looking for one!

I've read that sometimes the resort concierge can score those hard to get reservations. I'm crossing my fingers......and looking everyday! ;)

What about Cape May Cafe (way easier to get into then Chef Mickey's and Mickey is there) or 'Ohana? Mickey is at both of those character meals. I believe he's also at Garden Grill, but I've never been there. With the new cancellation policy, I would try two days and one day before you want to go as well since I would think some people would be cancelling their reservation so that they don't get charge a no show fee. Good luck!
