I must be dreaming...ap rates

I just got off the phone with a wonderful CM who, while she couldn't guarantee tomorrow would be the date, did say they were pending and should be very soon. She also said they were for the rest of the year with a few of the normal blackout dates!

Now here is the part I just can't believe...she told me rates for standard Poly are $129 for value season and $140 for regular season. I can't imagine this is true, but we can hope!!!

Are you sure she didn't say 229 value and 240 regular? That would seem more like the typical discount. If the Poly is going for 129 a night, then HELLO POLY!!

Those rates seem very low - they are more than 50% off. I thought we did the best ever last year when we booked GV at the Polynesian for $183 inc. tax with an AP rate. Right now I have GV Concierge for Nov. at $261 inc. tax with a Come Back Rate and am waiting to see if I can possibly swing LV with AP rates.

I am also a little skeptical about these rates since every time I have called and AP rates were pending that they could not access the exact rate for a particular resort.

perhaps it is true and perhaps the reason is because they realized they have some tough competition with the Swan/Dolphin offering such great AP rates for the rest of the year ($139).

So, maybe I'm being overly optimistic but perhaps it's true! If so, HELLO POLY!!!!!!!

Wow those would be incredible rates for the Poly if that is true!!!! I hope they are! I'm just looking for a night stay before we start our DVC stay and I'd definetly book Poly if those rates really come out tomorrow!

I couldn't believe it either and asked the CM to repeat the rates! She was laughing b/c I was so excited. I hope it is true for all of you who are looking for the Poly. We actually have a one bedroom villa booked at the BW using FTP, so I am hoping we can get a decent rate using APs!!! It will be the only way we can go back for our oldest son's 5th b-day in June!!!

I know I'll be saying my prayers tonight!!!

Most likely a dream, though a nice one. That would be nice, but somehow can't believe that they would offer a lower rate to AP holders than to their own cast members. If so, I'll be on the phone with the rest of you changing my CM ressies to AP ressies.

Their computers do strange things. When I called on Monday for my CP reservations, the cm said the computer said LeCellier was a buffet and the package price was $28.99. I kept saying that can't be correct. My guess is it was the Garden Grill or Norway's info. When she booked it, it came up with the correct $41.99 price.

There's a post on another thread that said Poly will be $170 for value season. That's still a great rate.

The Polynesian for $170 in value season is more like last year's rate. Something funny is definately going on. I plugged our Nov. dates in last week just to see what was available at the Polynesian and only GV came up. This morning I plugged in the same dates and now magically they have GV, GV Concierge & LV Concierge available. So either alot of people cancelled or they released another block of rooms. I myself think it's all a big game by Disney so that we are all so anxious about AP rates we will be willing to take whatever crumbs they offer (Yes, I will be the one up with the birds tomorrow morning!).

I have a friend that works for CRO and he just told me that the rate that was quoted for the Poly was CLOSE but not accurate. Apparently, what they are actually doing is taking 129.00 off the rack rate for value season and 140.00 off the rack rate for regular season. Not sure what the rack rate is because I haven't looked it up but just subtract those numbers and you should come up with the accurate rate that is going to be offered. Hope this helps!

That would make Poly gv $204 regular season and $170 value season (before tax), which is right around the 40% off they usually run for AP. Sounds about right.

It's so funny how all the CM's at CRO say something different. I just called to see if the AP rates were truly being released tomorrow and what rates they were showing. The CM I spoke to said thrates were pending but that didn't mean they would be released tomorrow. I told her I heard that they would be and that the Poly was showing up for $170 per night. She asked where I had heard this from. I told her from a friend who's friend works in CRO. She just laughed and said that's why they don't tell them anything. She told me to call back tomorrow.

From her reaction I think they are aware that the rates will be released but aren't supposed to let anyone know.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I'm hoping the AP rates don't sell out too quickly.
