I missed out on my cruise...

90 days today until the ceremony - called WDW Play at 7am - byt hte time I got through there were no cruises left

So what do we do now??

We want to wear our wedding outfits all day - well ceremony is at 3 - and we were going to top the day off with the fireworks.

Can we watch wishes from outside MK or should we just ditch the clothes and go and eat dinner and then watch wishes from main street??

Can the boys get in with tuxes or is that a no no? Also i'd want to wear a party dress would that be ok?

How many people do you have for the cruise?

Have you tried posting something on the Trip planning board? Someone might have some open spots on a cruise that you can share...just a thought...

Sorry you didn't get the boats. An idea for seeing WISHES and wearing your dress would be CG, Ohana's, Concourse Steakhouse - basically any restataurant at GF, CR, Poly - you can either see the fireworks right from the restaurant or from an observation deck/beach close to the restaurant and you can wear your dress at any of those resorts.

Keep trying back. They often have cancellations especially for WISHES. I would make alternate plans but not give up if you really want the cruise. I have gotten it the week of as well as day of for clients in the past year.

I really feel for you! It's something that Im hoping to do on our wedding day. I know that I'll be in tears if it doesnt work out.

I would do what someone else has suggested - post on the trip planning forum and see whether you could join someone else.

I know that everything will work out in the end..it just might not feel that way right now

I feel so sorry for you rosiejo, if it was me id be so gutted!!
I may have an alternative though, if ur wedding party excedes 8 guests you may register ur party as a "Grand Gatherings".

This gives you access to special events, one being the "Magical Fireworks Voyage" around the 7 seas lagoon viewing Wishes. This also includes a mini dessert party at the Contemporary marina & a character visit from Capt. Hook & Smee. I think you can even where your wedding dress to this event as techically your not in any parks, but im not 100% sure, you would need to check with disney.

A word of warning you may have to share this event with other GG guests. This personally wouldnt bother me & Im planning on doing this cruise for my wedding, but if u just want a quiet intimate wedding just you & your guests this may not be for you.

We got a great view of wishes at narcoosee's. We had ps for 7 30, got a great seat by the window where we watched the water parade and admired the castle changing colors. We finished dinner right at ten and went on their porch and watched the fireworks- they even dim their lights and play the music. It was one of my favorite parts of the day especially becuase i had not planned it that way!

Thanks everyone - we're going to try and book a restaurant with a view - or even wander down to the beach at the poly - in the mean time I'm gonna call for a cancellation every now and then.

unfortunately there are 8 of us so I doubt we'd be able to hijack another boat...

It's gutting that you can set your heart on something and not get it even though its your wedding day!

If you go to a restaurant let your coordinator book it for you, works out great with a larger party that way.

The same exact thing happened to me so I know exactly how you feel. So we have decided that after the wedding and lunch we are heading back to the resort to nap (I am sure I will need it) and since we are staying at the BW Villas and most of the people coming to the wedding won't have tickets to the park, we are going to hang around the BW. Eat, watch the entertainers and then the fireworks. Nothing over exciting but it's not costing and arm and leg either. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Keep on trying back for cancellations .Someone will probably cancel as it gets closer .You will have a much better chance with wishes.I feel for you.You want everything to go as planned.You put so much time into everything and it's your wedding , but something always will go wrong.My advice is to try not to get upset ,I know it's hard.Just go with it and enjoy it no matter what.You only get one wedding day and then it's over and then the real fun starts.Lots of luck and congratulations.

Nearer the time you can give your name and phone number, then if they get a cancellation they ring you to see if your still interested!

Thank you so much everyone for all your help and advice and sympathy - but I have an update... it's all worked out!

I have my own Fairy Godmother in InstImpress (AKA Sandy) who did the most amazing thing and got me a reservation for the Wishes cruise on the day of the wedding! I just can't thank her enough.

Anyway since everyone thinks we missed out I am now keeping it a big secret... I'm going to tell everyone that I had a tip off from the Dis boards that WL is a really romantic place to watch wishes from - and get them all down there in time for the boat to launch!

Oh I can't wait to see their faces! Especially DH2B's...


So see - wish on a star and sometimes your wishes do come true!!
