I just got back from my Disney trip today!! :sad1: It is so sad, i have to adjust to reality! it was a great trip-good weather and the crowds weren't too bad. Where i'm from (MN) it like 5 above which is a big difference in temp! We went to Candlelight Processional on Sun. and Mickey's Christmas Party on Tues. The whole trip was so fun! Anyone else just get back?

Oh I know, I know  It's very hard when you just get back. We've been back 3 weeks now and I think it's only this week that I don't have a yearning in my heart anymore. I still have a longing but not quite a yearning, perhaps a loarning?? :confused3 :teeth: Seriously, it does get easier. Best thing to do is start thinking slowly about your next trip, even if it's 2 years away (our next trip will probably be 2010, aargh!). It does help, honestly!! Also for your own sake, remove the countdown in your signature line. I know when I saw mine reading "10 days since WDW" it made me so sad :( Dream on and know that you'll get back there some day.... :thumbsup2

I'm glad you had a great trip! I'll be at WDW in less than two weeks. I'm sure I'll be missing Mickey after Christmas!

I guess I will be sad in two weeks from today........we leave next week for a short visit to tide us over until next spring......I am anxious especially when I read your trip reports........thanks for posting

Let me join in with you and say that I miss Mickey too! We drove home yesterday (Sunday) and I am back at work now. I miss all the smiling cast members with the Mickey gloves waving at us. It was such a happy place!! Now it's back to same old same old....

Maybe I will take a trip to the Disney store in the mall about an hour away!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement but it is sad to think that last week at about this time (10:30 pm--9:30 where I live) I was going on Tower of Terror and it was extar magic hours and my brother and sister and I met a mom and her two boys and they were trying to make a record to see how many times in a row--you were able to pretty much just walk on the rides. We got to kinda know them so we went with them a couple times but then we had to go bc we had to see the Osborne lights before the parked closed. What is also really neat was that they had alot in common with us it was both our 6th time there and our first time there during Christmas and they stayed in the same hotel as us!

But now I guess I'll focus on our next trip and not get sad. thanks for the advice!

We've been back about 10 days and last week, when I returned to work, I was saying the same thing to myself ("last week at this time we were...").

I wasn't as bummed out this weekend, but still felt that burnin' yearnin', so I decided to write a trip report. I'm not sure if anyone is really reading it, but you know what? It's free therapy (and I am feeling better)!
