I miss the FITS passes!

I wish FITS passes were still around!

The best thing comparable for us in our price range is the UK 14-day ultimate pass. Has anyone from the U.S. been able to use them? If so, we don't have a UK address for them to be shipped to, but could we just pick them up upon arrival?

What is a FITS pass? The only FITS I know about is the Fantasy In The Sky fireworks that are not done anymore. :confused3

It was an all-inclusive pass that lasted 30 days, and included a meal (I think character), admission to Kennedy Space Center, and a few other places. We've got an upcoming two-week stay for which it would have been perfect. The 10-day MYW leaves us forced out for a few days (not the end of the world, I know), and the premium annual pass is just plain too costly, especially since we won't be back again before it expires. Sigh. So, any info on US'ers using the UK pass??

We used the FITS pass during our 2004 trip.

I loved them!! We didn't have to worry about counting options or "wasting" a days admission if you only wanted to enter a park for an hour.

The pass was only $300.00 and included a voucher for a character breakfast.

These passes would fit our 13-night vacation so much better than the 10 day hopper or the AP. Anyone know about this??

UndercoverTourist sells the 14-day and 21-day UK pass. They claim to sell them only to UK addresses, but it might be worth a call to see if maybe they can help you out.

I could be wrong - but I think they're for UK residents only... I think they're an incentive to get us to spend our two weeks vacation at WDW - it is a little to far to travel for just a few days after all :)

Do you know if they are actual tickets, or if they are a voucher of some sort, the way the FITS passes were. Those had to be axchanged, and then there might be the possibility of proving citizenship.

No, I'm afraid I don't. I'm a short-timer (only 7-8 days per trip), so I've never had the occasion to try these.

I just went back and checked Mousesavers. Mary used to describe these as "intended for overseas guests, but sometimes available to US guests." The wording she has now suggests that if you live in the US, you can't get them.

Again, you can call and see what they say, but I'd prepare to be disappointed. Undercover Tourist seems to have a somewhat closer relationship with WDW than many of the other brokers, so they are perhaps more likely to follow Disney's wishes on this front.

We'll be using the 14 day ultimate tickets as they're available to people in Ireland too. They're a great deal for us, as they also include the water parks and Disney Quest.

I see no reason that you couldn't use them, provided you can use a UK or Irish address for delivery.

Here's another thread about this that you might be interested in:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1227287&page=2&pp=15

One poster on that thread points out that "If a Disney ticket does not have any published restrictions associated with it, then any one person can use it."
I have my tickets in front of me and there's nothing printed on the ticket to indicate that it's specifically for UK/Irish residents.

HappyCamperToo,
They are actual tickets. Card, not plastic. They're ready to use.

DebIreland, do you know if they would be available to someone from Sweden? The company my DH works for has an office there and he knows the person who does his same job there very well and would trust him to send the tickets to us. If so, this might be a great choice for our next trip.

We miss the FITS pass too! We had it during our '03 trip and it was great for 2 weeks. Had a bit of a hard time exchanging the ticket at the Epcot Guest Relations though...but eventually got it taken care of and enjoyed our stay!

If you can't get or use the UK pass, another option would be to add the Water Parks and More option and spend those extra 3 days at the water parks or Disney Quest. No idea if that interests you, but it's a thought.......

You know what? I went to double check Disney's UK site and it says (about the ultimate tickets) "Created Exclusively for UK and Irish Guests!". (See here) *but* here's the good part. I clicked 'buy now' and in the top right corner it says 'Select your country' and Sweden is on the list (along with many other European countries) so I chose Sweden, chose 'Theme Park Tickets' , added an Ultimate Ticket to my 'basket' and it brought me to checkout!!! So, in other words, yes seems to be the answer! lol!!! I hope it works out for you! The only slight problem is that Disney are more expensive for these tickets than other UK brokers, but if the only way to get them is through that site, then go for it. Good luck! :)

I called today and was told it's an actual ticket. I ordered one. Wish me luck!
