I might need some help this weekend

Hi All, I am expecting a nasty houseguest that has not been invited. You may have heard of her she is Hurrican Ophelia.

I live very near the outer banks of NC and only 2 blocks from the water.

I am not worried about safety, my house is over 100 years old and built well and the storm really is not that bad. Flooding is always the issue for me depending on the tide and the storm surge we can flood in my town.

I am expecting to lose power. I hope that I do not but it is most likely. Depending on how bad it hits I may not be on line this weekend so I need a person to shop for me. I will provide the credits you just have to log into special mules that I make for this very reason and buy whatever they sell most likely pins.

If you have about 1/2 hour and do not mind logging on and off mules I would like to talk to you. I need someone that I know well or has a lot of Dis posts so I know that I can trust them. I will compensate you whoever you wish.

I will give you more information in a PM.

So I will keep playing and posting untiil the power goes. No one worry. I have been through a lot of hurricanes this is a little baby one. We are going to lose comfort from not having hot water and air conditioning more than anything else.

I will get whatever comes out for you. Don't worry about the mules. I can make them. Who knows, down the road, I may need to have the same thing done!! Not that a hurricane will come to the Mojave desert. lol. But anyways, I will pick up extras of anything that comes out the weekend and help you out.

Just let me know how many of stuff you normally get. My guess is it won't be a costume, but just a pin and maybe furniture.

Only thing I would be out of luck in getting is magic carpet. I don't even have an account with enough credits to buy one. I don't think it is coming out this next weekend though.

And I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers (if that's okay) this coming weekend!!

From what we've seen the past weekends (not the event), I wouldn't expect any disappearing specials this weekend. I expect another Hong Kong land pin, but it should go into the pin section after the weekend (as the Main Street and Fantasyland pins have). As far as I know, there is nothing else "due" this weekend.

Good luck with the flooding. I hope you keep your feet dry!

There is two threads like this. lol. It tricked me also. I went into the other one and couldn't find my posts. I couldn't figure it out. I knew I had just posted. If a storm like that was coming I would not be here, I would be far, far away. A big Cat 2 and I would leave. I live too close to the water to take chances with my 4 year old!

We left 2 years ago with Irene and that was a very damaging storm I had
water damage in 9 rooms. It was gross, disgusting and the smell was horiffic. I lost my roof, windows and the water was everywhere but there were people much worse off than I was and I just focused on that.

I can not even imaging what it is like for the people that were hit by Katrina!
