DD called me lastnight from college, she had Disney Music on, and said Mom I want to go to WDW so bad with you! I miss you, etc... well my eye's just teared up! As most of you know I have been wanting to go, but my Dr's have said not yet!

Update on me! All of my test have came back normal, oh Thank God, as we where very scared! They did diagnose me with asthma and having me using an inhaler (that has helped alot). Also one of my meds was causing me alot of breathing problem's,e tc. I am feeling so much better, all of my blood counts are real good. Today I see my heart Dr. I know everything there is good. I will ask him, and all of my other dr's as well. I am hoping that the Transplant Team will tell me that I can go!

DD Lauren gave me the date's that she can go, It will be in Aug. she is taking 16 credits over the summer and has some time off before Fall classes start. Well I talked to DH lastnight and he said if you feel up to going book it and make sure to get the travel insurance! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Now for the heat then, will I be able to handle it? I think so, as DD said, Mom they give you a special pass for the rides and attraction's etc. Alot of things are inside and there is AC, so what do you guy's think?

We would go from Aug 16th to Aug 26th. wow 10 days with my baby in WDW! :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: :bounce: party: :figment: :goofy: :maleficen :hmghost: :tigger: :sulley: :stitch: :simba:

I bet I could plan it all out, could I do it, do I have enough time? What do you think, could I pull this off? I will be calling this morning to WDW and see what is available! Oh wish me luck and some :wizard: :wizard:

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Kitty, I hope everything works out for your trip. We've never been there during the summer, but I heard it's even hotter and more humid than South Jersey. Just make sure you don't overdo, rest a lot, and lounge by the pool. Just make sure you take really good care of yourself until then.

Great news about the tests. All of the prayers from the DIS seem to be working. Asthma is no biggie, especially in this area. Our family has it. Just take your meds, don't overdo, and don't stress about it, asthma can seem worse if you're upset, your concentrate on it more. Good luck.

I hope you're able to go. That would be really special mom/daughter time. You're right about the heat and humidity but we can have it almost as bad here in NJ. If your Doctors give you the go ahead maybe you could slowly work up your stamina for being in the heat now that summer is on its way here. Also, you can schedule your day to get going early, take a nice long break in the heat of the afternoon and then do something in the evening. Just don't over do it!!

Kitty, I really hope this works out for you this time.

As far as the heat--I'm fairly sensitive to heat but I did okay last year. We went in June and for some reason there was a heat wave and it was well over 100 degrees on most of the days. Whenever I would walk out of my hotel or an attraction, I would feel that "wall" of heat.

I found that in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, I had no problems. There were many places to go in and out of and I was cool most of the time.

MGM and Animal Kingdom were a bit tougher. Since I don't ride a lot of the stuff at MGM, I found myself sitting on a hot, sunny bench a lot and that was no good. I couldn't find a lot of shade. I tried to hang out in the gift shops while the kids were on certain ride, but they were tiny and cramped. Animal Kindgom was also very hot because of the nature of most of the rides/exhibits being outdoors. I did it but there were some HOT moments. Bottom line though--if required, you can ALWAYS find a way out of the heat.

Congratulations on all of your tests being normal! :thumbsup2 I think you'll have a great time with your DD. Stay somewhere that it's easy to get back to your room for rests if at all possible, and plan some of the days as "resort days" so you don't overexert yourself. Happy Planning! :wizard: pixiedust:

Good luck Kitty! Hope everything works out great!!
That would be wonderful to spend 10 days with your DD!

Lots of luck and pd for you! :wizard:

Don't forget about the free dining offered in Aug/Sept too! :cool1: You can book this until June 25th!! :cheer2:

Congrats Kitty! Yes, it's hot, but with careful planning I think you could manage. I'm sure you aren't going to WDW to ride every single ride, so you can go at a slow pace and just sit back and enjoy.

Let us know what the docs say!

:)

Fingers are crossed for you and throwing bags of Pixie dust at ya... it sounds to me like a trip to WDW may be just what the doctor ordered. Let us know!

I hope you are able to go! Here's some pixie dust:

Second, some pixiedust: :wizard: pixiedust: that all the doctors give their ok so that you can finally get to Disney.

Oh Kitty, I am thrilled things are looking up for you! With 10 days you ought to be able to take things at your own pace and have a wonderful trip. Here's some of that PD you asked for and some prayers too. :tink: :tink:
