This was not on my radar at all but we might be making a trip westward in late July. DD has a convention that she wants to attend in Anaheim. DW and I would probably let her go by herself (she'll be almost 20 at the time) but we'd feel a lot more comfortable going out there with her. We wouldn't attend the convention. We most likely wouldn't even stay in the same hotel. But we'd travel there and back together and we'd be nearby if any issues arose. Plus we could go out a few days before the convention and have some family vacation time first. So that would obviously mean making our 2nd visit to Disneyland.

Our first trip was in 2005 during the 50th anniversary celebration. Coincidentally, this would put us there just as they are kicking off the 60th. I don't know what special stuff they have planned but I really don't even care. I'd be thrilled just to get out there again. I know California Adventure has changed a great deal since our visit. We've never seen World of Color or Cars Land or so many other things that have come along in the past 10 years.

I guess it's time to start hanging around here and researching and educating myself all over again. ;)

I am excited for you! Looks like we will be there at the same time, and this was unexpected for me too. We just bought a new vehicle for the first time in 14 years and Dh wants to break it in with a road trip to California! He barely asked me this past Sunday if we all wanted to go to DL this summer!:cloud9:

That's great! Have a fun trip. We always drive to WDW (just over 1,000 miles each way) but DL requires an airplane.

We will be there too from 7/2 through 7/6 to celebrate our 7/5 Anniversary and an early celebration of DD's August birthday. We are staying across the street and looking forward to having the extended time at the parks and the close stay.
