I met Safari Steve

While on our trip with the 5 Dcherubs January 2nd to the 12th. I met Safari Steve. From the boards I knew he would most likely be at the Haunted Mansion then so here is what I did.....whenever we took them to the Haunted Manison I would peer at all the CM's tags. I am so slick, lol! I did the same thing at MNSSHP in October, this time I was on a mission though!Anyhow on the way in one day there was a Steven standing by the gate as we went in, of course I chickened out and didn't say a word. On the way out he was still there, so I went up to him with the 5 Dcherubs and DH in tow and said exuse me, quietly, are you Safari Steve? At first he didn't hear me then he laughed and said yeah. Kids thought I was nuts, DH just shook his head and laughed, I said hello and quickly walked away embaressed but successful! I did it, I met Safari Steve! Oh yeah, Steve if you read this DS thought it was cool that you wished him a Happy BDay! Thanks.....big smile! Good luck with school and hope to see you again!

We met Safari STeve on the Jungle Cruise last summer. He wanted us to wear our green ribbons in a more prominent place--the middle of our foreheads!

I asked "a" Steve on the Jungle Cruise if he was the Safari Steve and he said NO I am NOT. Actually even though he was kind of rude, I thought it was funny. I could picture all the DISer's asking this poor faux Steve if he is our beloved one and only SS. So I'm still on the hunt for the one and only Safari Steve -- I'll be looking in August SS, so warn all those poor Steve wannabees.

Winnie, it seems you met an IMPOSTER!!!!! I've been working at the main entrance plaza at MK since November 30. I am flattered that you looked for me, though.

Kallison, I think I had asked the same 'grumpy' Steve and gotten the same "NO!" back in 2001 His name tag should read JUST Steve!! LOL Poor guy seems to be just easier to find than 'our' Steve, I bet he gets asked that a LOT!!
