I think I have a problem...

I just ordered my MNSSHP tickets online today for October. Big problem though, I ordered them under my maiden name.

You see, I have a bank account that I have had since before I was married. It is my "fun money" account. For ebay, online purchases etc. I never changed it over to my married name because it has never been a problem...until now.

I wanted to surprise my DH with these tickets so I used this account, but when it asked me for my shipping address and name, I checked the "Same" box instead of changing the name to my married name.

Once I had purchased the tickets it had occured to me that they aren't transferable and that my maiden name on them might create a problem if they check id's at the gate. They may think that they weren't mine to begin with.

What should I do? Today is Sunday so I am hoping to be able to call Disney first thing tomorrow morninig to hopefully let them know before they process the tickets.

I have also started searching all around the house for proof of my name change, including old picture Id's and my marriage license but I really don't want to take that with me on the trip for fear of losing it.

My question is do they check id's against the MNNSHP ticket and if so what should I do in case they can't help me tomorrow.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :flower3:

Make a Xerox copy of your marriage license and take that!

I just checked my MVMCP tickets and they don't have names on them, only the valid date so I would think your Halloween tickets will be the same, also with the MVMCP I have never been asked for an id at the gate........so I think you will be safe, perhaps someone who has already purchased and received their MNSSHP tickets could confirm this.....all they need to do is look at the back of their "little credit card type tickets"

Your name is not printed on the MNSSHP tickets. I have tickets to three different nights and my name isn't on any of them. On one of the nights I have tickets for my mom and for I and they didn't even ask the name of the other person in my party, so they couldn't have put her name on it if they wanted to. You have nothing to worry about.

Does anyone recall being asked to show id? I don't think they do, so I don't think it will matter at all.

They don't have names on them. The only tickets with names on them are activated AP's.

If they did have your name on them, which they don't, your birth certificate would have your maiden name on it.

I went all through my DH's filing system  and found a certified copy of our marriage license. Now at least I won't have to take the original.

Thanks to all of you who replied. It sounds like they most likely won't check against the names but I will be bringing it just in case. I am too excited for MNSSHP to be turned away at the gate. I would be crushed. :sad1:

Thanks again all!!! :wave2:

SEAlla, there is no need to bring your marriage license. There won't be anything to check the names against. The tickets will NOT have your name on them.

The tickets do not have your name on them. You just slide them through the slot and go. Stop worrying, it's okay!

Do not worry...the do NOT check IDs for MNSSHP.

Your name is NOT on those tickets or even Hopper Passes. The only ticket that has your name on it is an Annual Pass which you have to do a finger scan with it when you put your pass through. If WDW started checking everyone's ID who had a ticket to get in,can you IMAGINE what sort of lines there would be to get into the parks!!!!:earseek:

So do NOT worry...be happy! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Susan,

I just wanted to echo others who have said you'll have no problem at all. I buy tickets for others all the time -- MVMCP, MNSSHP, and annual passes -- and it's never been a problem. Your name is not on the ticket, at all. The only thing they'll look for is the date.

Go. Have fun. Don't give this another thought. You'll be fine! (I hope hubby is surprised!)
