Its costing me a fortune!!! Thanks to everyone for all the great buys lately! Today alone I have a Vera Bradley order coming, I just bought a book for my kindle and the biggie was I traded my 1st gen Ipad in for a new mini today!

Thanks for the heads up!

Isn't that the truth!?!?
I kept participating on the "What are you getting your teen dd's?" thread. I started by saying how I was almost done and was only doing a few gifts because our trip was the major gift. Yeah right:rolleyes2. It just kept giving me more ideas!!!!
I still haven't spent too much, but I need to even stop reading it because there is just more and more I want to get!

I was just thinking that!

As I was explaining the budget board to my ds and dh, I mentioned that is how I found out about Vera Bradley (I didn't even know what it was before, and now I will soon be the proud owner of a weekender, hipster, tote and lunch bag). And then, I told my ds how other kids get $40/mo allowance. He was shocked (he gets no allowance, but does get money for grades)! At that point, I figured I should probably just live in my little world and stop reading what others are doing and where they are saving (spending) their money. ;)

Keep reading just hide the credit cards.

I read the whole teen dd thread, before I got the official I want list, it was so hard to control myself and not do retail therapy online.

DD is 10 which is the magic age that I try to teach them its ok to go window shopping. Its so hard to walk into walmart, toy r us and the mall and not buy one thing.

We did have nice lunch out just the two of us.

My wife is 31. Can I board her with you for a couple weeks, or as long as it takes to train her?

that's why I had to stop looking at Groupon, too!!!

Buuuut how did you trade your iPad in?! We have a 3rd gen & I'm leaning towards the Air ;)

LOL I know, when I think of people on a budget, I think of a LOW budget, like the people of "Till Debt do Us Part". This is more of a "How to get a good deal on the newest technology" or "How to save money for Disney".

Not the best place for someone actually looking to live within a strict budget without room for luxuries. Then again, I guess if you can't have luxuries you wouldn't be on a Disney trip planning forum in the first place :)

This is almost more of a "deals" board this time of year, especially.

It is NOT saving money to buy something, you weren't planning on buying, just because it is a "good deal"
