My MIL came for her Christmas visit and I am now the proud owner of the following VHS tape.....

DirectTV presents The NFL All-Star Follies 1999

It also includes bonus footage of the 1999 NFL Golf Shootout!



How I ended up with this gift is still a mystery since I don't like football or golf. I am not really a sports kind of girl unless it is tennis or figure skating.

To complement this fine addition to our video collection is a book titled:

Look What You Can Make With Dozens of Household Items!

8 Books in 1 including craft sticks, plastic bottles, newspapers, magazines, boxes, greeting cards, egg cartons, paper plates and paper bags!!!!

I am the anti-crafty type person so this one baffles me almost more than the NFL tape.

So if you ever want to know how to make a flying saucer out of paper plates or make a 3-D apple decoration from an egg carton you know who to call.

And, not to add insult to injury, that is a freebie tape they were giving away with some package on DirecTV.

Find someone crafty to make a centerpiece out of it and give it back!

Use the craft book to make a really tacky gift (if possible use both tapes as part of the craft) and present it to MIL for her birthday or for next Christmas!

I too am Anti-Craft, but just had a vision.

Turn the tapes upside down, use the holes in the spools for the tape as Candle Holders , do some faux finish paint treatment on the cassettes, and give them back to her next year. Hee hee hee hee

And, I love what the TF's did to your tag.
