and was given a different time. Now, I may have to change to two people - I don't want to risk losing the reservation but will they still seat two people if we show up for a four-guest reservation?

Don't change it. Just go and when you get to the podium, let them know two in the party will not be joining you after all. This happened to us on one trip. I took a friend with us and her cousin lived in the area so he was going to join us for one meal. But because of work he didn't know which night. So I made all our ADRs with counting him in. When we checked in, I just let them know that we had less people. It was never a problem. Its easier to do one or two less at the last minute, than add in one or two more.

I'm actually surprised the change the time the first time. I had to change one recently like that and it didn't affect anything because most tables that fit 3, fit 4. Maybe that restaurant has some tables that only seat 3?

'Ohana's small tables are set for 3 people normally. So if you were increasing your count, you would wind up with a different table.

I wouldn't call to decrease it. They might wind up sitting you at a smaller table but there is the possibility there are no openings. We have gone before with fewer people and haven't had a problem.

I've discovered it's more difficult to make reservations for 2 people than 3 or 4. Don't change it, just show up and you'll be fine.
