AND I REALLY LIKED IT!!!!

Seriously, I tried to make one yesterday... I just didn't get it right... But today, today I got it right!! I bought the Carb Solutions Chocolate shake mix... I put two scoops along with 4 ounces of coffee & 4 ounces of water in the blender... then I added about six ice cubes, less than a 1/4 cup light cream & then, here's the best part!!! 1/2 teaspoon ALL SPICE... That was the missing ingredient!! Please tell me all spice is not bad for a high protein, low carb diet.... This shake tasted an awful lot like a pop tart LOL!!!! It was so good I had two today!!! It will be hard to actually get me to eat real food now :jester:

Just thought I'd share my good fortune, I'm thrilled :Pinkbounc

OHHHHHH-- Zurgswife needs this recipe bad!! SHe a poptart before bed kind of a girl!! :p

I think it sounds wonderful- and as far as I know- allspice is good! Shouldn't effect your carb intake at all.

But I do have a questions for the crowds reading this. Is this Carb Solutions the best tasting shake mix- or is there something better> I'm getting to the point where I can start making those now! YUMMY!

A 1/2 teaspoon of allspice should not have any measureable impact. Sounds like a great idea to punch up a plain old shake!

Here's a recipe for a shake that I really like too. This is VERY filling and is a great meal substitute when pressed for time or not feeling all that well - like when you have a sore throat. :)

Atkins Flax & PB Shake

2 scoops of Atkins Chocolate shake powder
2 heaping TBSP of ground Flax seed
1 TBSP low carb peanut butter
handful of ice

Mix in the blender. Makes one serving with nutrition info (per fitday) of 340 calories, net carbs of 4 (11 – 7 dietary fiber), 28 grams of protein and 22 grams of fat.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Sounds like you are off to a great start!!! :) Keep up the good work. Aren't you glad you found us? All sorts of yummy and healthy ideas here! :)

My WW leader had a great idea for making shakes like this using coffee...

When you have leftover coffee at home, freeze it in ice cube trays and use coffee ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes! I'm going to try it with the chocolate WW shake mix!

Hi TigH, to answer your question, YES, I am SO glad I found you guys!! It's so nice to have someone to share the high's & low's with... At home, it's just me & believe me, my family does NOT understand!!! They don't need to lose the weight!!

Karebare1, I guess the Atkins chocolate is better than the carb solutions... but it's also a lot more expensive... so I opted to try the Carb Solutions... I'm really glad I mixed it up with all the other ingredients though, it tastes GREAT!

Hmmm, coffee ice cubes... sounds VERY interesting!!

This is my favorite by far!:D
