Quite some time ago, I went to a garage sale at the home of a woman who makes scented candles.. She was getting rid of tons of candles because she wasn't interested in doing the craft show scene any longer..

They weren't large candles - I'd say maybe 4" high - (loose - not in jars) and she was selling them dirt cheap.. 15 for a dollar.. So I found 4 scents that I really liked and bought 15 of each.. The scents were great, but I didn't like the way they burned - they always "caved" in the middle (one wick).. So I never got around to using many of them..

Well today I was looking for something in my bedroom and found the box with all of these candles and decided to "do" something with them.. I had larger candle jars - with just a little bit of candle left in them, so I melted it out, put 4 candles in each jar, melted them down (in hot water on the stove), and then put the 4 wicks (that I took out of the bottom of them before melting them) in each new larger candle jar..

Now I have much larger candles - and with the 4 wicks in each candle jar, they burn much better - and the scent is stronger as well! :thumbsup2 (I have a cinnamon one burning right now..)

I need one more larger candle jar and then they'll all be taken care of.. At least now I can get some use out of them..:goodvibes

Just an FYI-I have never seen a jar candle with more than 2 wicks

I'd be careful with 4 flames in a jar-they might not be able to handle that much heat:eek:

Bath and Body works sells 3 wick candles..I'm sure if the mouth of the jars is wide enough, there isn't going to ba a problem.

I take it not your a big fan of candles? I always go for a minimum of 3 wicks when I purchase pre-made candles - if at all possible..:goodvibes

The jars I used are originally from 3-wick pre-made candles - very wide mouth and very thick glass.. As an added precaution (I'm a worrier when it comes to fire), they are always set on oven-proof plate in the center of my table - with nothing else "on" the table..

They smell great! So much better than before..:thumbsup2
