I made a turkey dinner this week

my sister did it yesterday.......and my neighbor said she is having one tomorrow.......I know that when it was on sale.....everyone grabbed a few ......us included......but I could have one every month and be happy.....another good thing is it kept the kitchen nice and cozy......

We had pork and sauerkraut in the crock pot
That was the other half on New year's day pork roast that I froze.
I have a 7 lb Turkey breast in the freezer that I'm dying to make
I could eat some filling, mashed potatoes, cresent rolls, and carrots
Oh and cranberry sauce too
Oh I new I should bought the cranberry sauce on clearance at Target the other day
I wonder how long it will take to thaw out

We're having New York strip steak, scalloped potatoes, salad, applesauce, and hot rolls.

kteacher - I am making chilli tomorrow - I love it on a cold winter day!!

Pumba - I was eyeing up the 2 frozen (wild game) turkeys in my freezer this morning. I might cook one on Sunday.....

A turkey dinner with all the trimmings is one of my favorite meals!

Friday night is ALWAYS pizza night here! I LOVE pizza! I love turkey too and have it once a month. Love grilling it in summer. I have a turkey breast in the freezer now. Hmmmm......

We had a sort of stir fry with leftover turkey breast (I cooked earlier this week ), broccoli, snow peas, carrots, onions, bean sprouts, with Teriyaki Noodles from Sidekicks.

I'm smelling my turkey and stuffing in the oven as I type! We had a big fire here in town- it started Thursday night and burned all day yesterday- my dh works for the local electric company and had to be on stand by down there until midnight last night (the wind chills were unbelievable) and he's back there again today......... I thought if he got home at a decent hour he would appreciate a nice hot meal of turkey, mashed potato, home made rolls, peas, gravy and stuffing.

When we're not doing low carbs we have turkey dinners with all the trimmings several times a year. It's too good to limit to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
