I love where I live because

1) its clean
2) people are friendly, you can strike up a converstaion with almost anyone at any time
3) Its fun! We have outdoor activities galore, parks everywhere, and all sorts of things to do!
4) best of all, in all of the places Ive been and lived, this is the one place that has felt like "home"

Why do you love where you live?

because the weather is a near perfect as it can get!

There's always something to do or someplace to go.

I live near DL!

it is a nice small city that does alot of cool things....parades and car cruises and there is never a problem during them.

We are right by Lake St Clair

It is just a nice "homey" community

Ok, I'll bite. I usually have only bad things to say about where I live now, but I can think of three good things:

1. I love where I live because it is only 2 hours from door to door to WDW.

2. I love where I live because a beautiful beach is only a couple of miles away.

3. I love where I live because the sun shines most of the year and you don't get that winter blues feeling from so many grey, sunless days.

I love where I live because:

1) Nice weather.
2) Not too far from WDW.
3) "Homey" community.

I love where I live because:

it's a beautiful area, very diverse as far as what you can do (mountains, rivers, ocean/coast) within a 2 hour drive.

It's way more affordable than where I grew up (San Jose, CA)

Quite friendly

Like the NW lifestyle

It's green and pretty most of the year, no matter how hot it gets!

No sales tax!

Exactly. Thats my #1 reason I love where I live.

Another #1 for me: Because it means we're here because of DH's job and that means that he's employed, we have health care, and thats huge for us right now (we just went through a merger where job was eliminated). We count our blessings every day on this one. :)

2. Great schools for the kids.

3. Close proximity to many things to do on daytrips or short weekend trips.

I Love Where I Live...because I can head east an hour and be in The Hamptons. I can head West an hour and be in Manhattan. We have amazing beaches. I love the seasons. Incredible restaurants and shopping!

I love where I live because....

We have a true change in weather with all of the 4 seasons - hot in the summer, darn cold with snow in the winter, beautiful rainy days in the spring (lots of flowers everywhere) and then....my favorite season.....FALL....which is near perfect to me!!

#1 reason is I still love the "seasons" in New England ...tomorrow is the 1st day of Fall...my favorite season !!!! I love being close to the ocean in the summer and I love getting "Snow Days "off from work, just like the kids, in the winter :thumbsup2

I love where I live because

1. The Town is populated with people who used to live in NYC and then had kids (like me). They're educated, driven, and care immensely/intensely about their kids.

2. I know the Mayor and the Town Administrator and they will actually answer my questions about local government.

3. There are a million great restaurants, kid activities, stores and other resources within a few miles from my house.

Let's see...
1. I love where I live because I'm 1/2 hour from either the shore or big city.
2. I love where I live because I like experiencing all 4 seasons.
3. I love where I live because there is a great variety of history surrounding us.

I love where I live because it's clean and really nice and safe here. I used to complain when I was younger that it was boring but now that I have a family I love it. Also we are 45 minutes from San Francisco, 3 hours from Lake Tahoe and 5 hours from Disneyland! How much better can it get? :cool1:

why do I love it here?

1) :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
2) we can build sandcastles on the beach in November
3) it's casual in dress, and pace in life
4) 2 hours to skiing
5) 45 minutes to Mickey and the Gang!!! :mickeyjum :dumbo: :goofy: ::MinnieMo

I love where I live because-

1) DH and I have lived here our entire lives
2) SAFE! I don't lock my doors. I take midnight walks. I leave my car running at the post office.
3) It's cheap (our first house was under $25,000-our "new" house was under $90,000)
4) It is a really, really poor area that turns out amazing graduates (90% + go on to higher education--Keep in mind that almost half of our students receive free or reduced lunch)**
5) I LOVE our school district and our dedicated teachers--They are underpaid, but stay here :cloud9:
6) I can be in Philly, NYC, the Atlantic Ocean, Hershey Park, Dorney Park, Knoebel's Grove, Amish Country, etc. all within 3 hours or less!!

Yes, it is a backwards town. If you aren't "from here" it may be a bit weird/depressing. Not many people are taking advantage of the, well, of the advantages of living here. My motto is Live here, so I can afford to go there ;)

**If you graduate from our high school, you get two years FREE at our community college. Although we have many that go to very prestigious schools as well!

All of these apply to me! But let me add two more:

5) No snow!
6) 10 mins to WDW!!!

:cool1:

I love where I live because:

1- Most of my family lives within 45 min drive
2- Lots of diversity b/c of local Air Force Base
3- Great public schools
4- Less than 3 hrs to beach, less than 3 hrs to mountains
5- Very mild winters!!! :sunny:

Its small town, USA and its where I was born and raised. DH and I raised our two kids here and then they moved away. Both DH and I commute 72 miles roundtrip to get to our office in a large city. The beauty of that is we can go home to our quiet street.
