I love the Fall! I'm in PA and we have been having a couple of beautiful days here. I love the crispness in the evenings - just perfect for getting in the hot tub. I love the fact that the kids are back in school - yes I miss them, but I love the school "routine" - besides, I'm at school almost everyday as a helper. I love that the leaves will soon start their changing...I love getting out my sweaters...

So...What do you love about the season of Fall (Autumn)?

My birthday! :) Also, Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. And of course, the weather is great. I hear that late October here in FL is really nice.

Wish I were there! South FL is still HOT! :( I miss the cool air, sweatshirts and jeans, and the crunching of leaves under my feet.

Fall is my most favorite time of year (unfortunately it won't arrive for a while in Italy). I am from NY State and I think NY, PA, New England etc. are some of the most beautiful places to be during the fall. I love the changing colors on the trees, I love the crispness of the air, I love apple and pumpkin picking, apple cider and hay rides. One of my most favorite things to do with DS is to rake leaves and then jump into the big piles!!! Oh, I have such wonderful autumn memories!! :)

Yesterday morning when I went outside it felt like Fall was in the air. It's the same way so far today. I love it!

It's hard to pick out what I love most about the Fall. I love the way the air feels and the leaves changing and everything else. My new Fall love is our trips to WDW! This is the 3rd year in a row we have scheduled a trip to WDW in the Fall.

We don't have fall here. We have two seasons - hot and freezing. :(

Maybe someday I will live where there is fall. :)

I love everything about the fall!! I can not wait to decorate the outside of our house with mums and a bail of hay and cornstalks and pumpkins:D Fall is the beginning of my happy time. So many fun things to do!! I dread summer, hate being hot and humid and buggy:mad:

My favorite days, as odd as it may seem, are gray chilly, not COLD, days, not raining but just a gray sky with the smell of fireplaces and football on TV, and you go outside and the leaves are beautiful and the ones on the ground carck when you walk on them!! I just love it:D

I'd like Fall even better, if I had a hot tub! ;) :)

Corn on the cob, peach pie, crisp apples. Sleeping with the windows open and the AC off. The fresh smell of the air. The gorgeous colours of the leaves, and the way they fall, magically floating into the neighbour's yard.

All of the above! (everyone put it so much better than I ever could!)

Also it is still so dang hot, humid and stickey here.

This will be the 3rd continuous year we have seen Mickey!
New fall clothes to wear in a smaller size
I now enjoy eating apples

collecting different leaves with our granddaughter -- nothing like experiencing the changes in seasons through a 4 1/2 year-old's eyes -- everything is much more interesting that way -- especially raking and jumping in them :)

What do I love about Fall?:) I love the change in the weather (cooler weather, that is), the colors of the trees, the smell of the air (when my allergies will let me breathe;)), wearing snuggly clothes (sweaters, etc). This year, I love Fall because it means I'll be at WDW soon.:teeth:

I'm with you on this one, pammypooh. I already have my fall decorations up, cornstaks and mums, and have been burning my fall scented candles since the end of August. I just love it!! Nothing beats the crispness in the air, the changing of the leaves, and all the fall festivals. Every year the last week of September me and five of my friends go camping in Lancaster, PA. We shop the Amish markets, flea markets and yard sales during the day, and at night eat and drink around the campfire and play cards and talk. No husbands, no kids, it's great! Of course two of the girls have RV's, so no sleeping in tents either. Then the second of October my DH and I go camping with two other couples to Gettysburg during their apple festival. We do the festival during the day, go to Devil's Den, we did a ghost walk last year one night, and again sit around a campfire every night. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. Especially sitting in the hot tub at night with the stars twinkling above, and our tiki torches burning in the back yard. My DH built a fire place out of cinderblocks in the back yard, and some nights we have a fire too. Definitely the best time of the year.

Oh, I have to agree with all the posters....Fall is just the best season. I lived in So. California for 10 years & missed Fall so much! I told my DH that I'll never live in a State which doesn't offer Fall again!

We're in South Eastern Michigan & the fall colors are so breathtaking here. "They" say that the best fall colors are right here in Michigan, due to there being so much water around here (the Great Lake State...) the more moisture, the more brilliant the colors!

We love to go to our local Apple Cider Mill to get fresh apples, pumpkins & fresh cider to drink (with some fresh apple donuts of course). OH.....I wish Fall could be all year round!!

Fall is approaching here in north Texas. I can tell because it has cooled off to the 90's. I would love to plant some Fall flowers but I think that it's a little bit too steamy for that. :(

As for this time of year, I love Halloween. I'm gearing up for the haunted houses and hayrides, and I'd love to send DH up to the attic for the decorations but I'll wait until the end of the month.

TeresaNJ, your trip sounds heavenly. I do have a tent but I also have a 10 year old boy that won't be denied. ;)

I love the smell of the air, apple picking, pumpkin picking, the fall decorations, the fact that it starts to get dark earlier, the school routine, the leaves turning colors and the smell of the fall candle scents. I also love Halloween. It will also bring me closer to my end of November trip to WDW!

I love everything about the fall EXCEPT; I love summer and it means that summer is coming to an end. Worse yet, it means that winter is just around the corner and I absolutely hate everything about winter. Yesterday was the last day of a very good ski boot sale (I hate my ski boots, too uncomfortable) so I had to buy a new pair. I am a good sport skier. I don't like it. I don't like being cold. I don't like bundling up in 10 layers of clothing. I don't like frost bite and I hate carrying my own equipment. Why do I ski you ask? It makes my family happy so I go along to be a good sport (while complaining all of the time. ;) ) Besides I get to pick the other vacations. My DH took my skis into the store yesterday to have the bindings fitted and the skis sharpened. After I picked out my boots, the sales clerk said, "Okay, you can bring your skis over here". My response: "I NEVER carry my own skis and I am not starting now". He got a good chuckle out of that and said that he hoped it snowed on my house last night. :)

Hi PammyPooh, I'm in Southern NJ and I too adore the fall. We have been having some beautiful crisp, clear mornings and I spend them walking around our nearby lake. It's so beautiful with the sun reflecting off it, and the ducks lazily swim by.

I just love the color pallette the Lord provides us, and am glad to soon be heat free!

All of the above reasons! I love the smell of fall. The new candles that I bring out, the feeling of leaves under my feet the COOL days!! YAY it feels so nice to go outside and actually need a jacket!! :)
