I Love Southwest!

I was surprised to see Southwest running flights from Portland, OR to Orlando for only $93 each way in January. I wasn't yet decided on dates so didn't buy tickets yet. I went to the Southwest site last night to confirm schedules and tickets had dropped to $88! That is the cheapest airfare I have seen in years for a cross country flight. I snagged it!

I am pretty happy too - picked up BUF to MCO for $62 each way. Just over $400 for the 3 of us....comparable to Air Tran I had been checking, direct, good flight times and no charge for baggage check. I'll continue to look for the prices to drop, but am happy with the current rate! Looking forward to our upcoming trip!

now you have to factor in the 60$ for early check in if you opt for that "add on", but then again we can just look at it as a "baggage fee" $5 per bag more if you travel lightly
