.....I just booked 5 roundtrip tickets from Pittsburgh to Orlando this coming January for 45,xxx points. Just had to pay $56 for the 9/11 fees. This will be our 3rd round of roundtrip flights on points. Each leg was under 5,000 points ($82 each way if paying cash). I have never seen flights that low for this route! So excited!!!

That's awesome! I've never flown Southwest, but will be next December for the first time! I've signed up for the Southwest Visa Premier card and am hoping fares NEXT December are comparable to THIS December because those 50,000 sign-up bonus points would cover our three round-trip tickets. It seems like a nice card to have now that I'm going to try and travel a bit more (mostly to Disney). I'm excited to get my card in the mail any day now so I can start working towards that minimum to get my bonus points! Woo Hoo!

I looove SW. I do not have their credit card but it is easy to get miles from their many partners, reward programs, plus shopping through their portal or adding your credit cards to their dining program. Have never had a problem with them, and I love the free bags :) Sad to see all the airlines charging extra for bags, carry-ons, window/aisle seats, some even charge for sodas.

We love Sw too! Both my DH and I got the credit card two years ago and received the 50,000 points per card. Since then we use it for everything and still have like 130,000 points. Plus we are a family of five and have booked numerous trips for free using the points.

I also have two more trips booked in Dec. and February. One of the flights has dropped in points three times and I rebooked free each time getting back almost 2,000 points.

I wish we could get SW prices like that where I live! Lowest price I have come across for any trip was $170 one way... I assume it's because we are a smaller airport.

They are great on price if you can book in advance. I made the mistake of booking them last minute during a family emergency, and found out they were $200 more than another airline. All my fault, always price shop.

Us too! Upcoming trip was the first booked with points and our new companion pass. DH and I have SW credit cards and use them for everything. Our return flights have dropped in points two times and I rebooked free both times getting back 2,200 plus points.
