I love my wife so much...

My husband cooks dinner every night and does the dishes every morning. I haven't been pregnant in 11 years! :confused3

I consider myself very lucky that I have a reasonable husband who realizes these things don't get done by elves while we sleep. :)

Yeah, actually, my husband does the dishes every night (I cook) and runs to the store when we need something.... and I'm not pregnant either.

My husband made me coffee this morning, and I'm not even pregnant :lovestruc

Since I'm a SAHM, my DH doesn't cook dinner every night (on a regular basis but he does from time to time) and I don't expect him to. Maybe that is the case with the OP and his wife since they already have 3 children and one on the way? :confused3

Why do people have be so clinical?

I thought the post was refreshing and sweet. Maybe he just wanted his wife to know how much he loves her and that she isn't being a 'lazy wife'.

I don't know. I always feel that good deeds are best when they're kept private. Announcing what a terrific person you are kind of seems a little cheesy.

My husband does all the laundry, splits the cooking and takes care of the kids while I work. He does it without asking for recognition, because that's what is expected of us as parents...

Then he should tell her and not us.

I was thinking just maybe she also comes here on the DIS and maybe it was just another way for him to tell her how he feels...but that's just me. I like to think positive and think the best of people.

I'd be embarrassed to see my husband posting about this stuff.

I find personal horn tooting for doing something that a majority of husbands do, or would do if they could, a bit much.

Hell, I get annoyed with my own husband when he acts like I should praise him to the ends of the earth for cooking dinner one night. I cook dinner every night (including 3 nights a week when I don't get home until 10:30) and I'm still waiting on my medal :rotfl:

Wow, you are such a keeper! Best wishes to your family on your new addition!

Not to be a killjoy or alarmist, but given that the baby is going to be big, has your DW had a glucose test for gestational diabetes? My DW had it for both of our kids, if left untreated (treatment consists of a modified diet) it usually results in high birth weight babies.

all pregnant women are given a glucose test

You sound like you have a wonderful marriage and you and your wife are very lucky to have each other.

Many husbands wouldn't lift a finger to help their wives do the 'womanly' things around the house and that make men like you even more special.

Sorry about all the killjoys on here. Maybe they are jealous? :rotfl:
