I love my flameless candles! (Update--I'm not buying any today!)

Thank you!
I normally buy Gold Canyon candles, or Yankee Candles, because their scents fill my whole house. It is more about scent than look for me. Are these just as strong as those candles?

I think they are stronger than Yankee candles for sure. Some scents have more kick to them than others too, so the consultant should be able to recommend some good ones. They have a ton of varieties too!

Thank you! I will check these out!

Those who have the QVC candles, did you get the Ivory colored ones? Are they a real "Ivory"? Several reviews say they are more yellow than a creamy ivory color.

I have both colors. I took a look at them and, yes, I would say they are more yellow.

I'll be looking in Christmas Tree Shoppes for sure, Bella! :)

The set was three 3-inch wide round columns in varying heights

They were beautiful, but cost over $40 with shipping. Obviously, you can do better by shopping around. :)

Is there a Christmas Tree Shoppes in Bergen Co? I don't have a car right now, but when I rent one, I love to shop on Rt 4 & Rt 17. :drive:

I do want to get 3 sets of the varying heights if I find them. I want them all to match in a nice Ivory color. :thumbsup2

:scratchin I'll have to take a look in Daffy's & TJ Maxx.

Yes! The Paramus Christmas Tree Shoppe is at the intersection of Route 4 and 17. It's on the site of the former Alexander's and next to the Ikea and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

I have 2 sets from QVC and absolutely adore them. Mine are a little on the expensive side but are worth it because they come with timers. I have the timers set to go on when the sun goes down and they turn off about 6 hours later. I have 3 on my mantel which glow softly as I make dinner, put 2 more on sconces in the same room and am waiting patiently for 2 more sets. One is going in my bedroom and the other is going in my basement. :lovestruc

How strong of a "scent" do these candles give off? I'd love to get some for DD.. She enjoys scented candles so much, but her DH isn't crazy about her using regular candles because of their cat and dog..

I love scented candles myself, but I use regular ones at the lake.. No pets, no problems..:goodvibes

Which flameless candles would you say give off the strongest scent?

I think the Vanilla QVC one's are pretty mild. They are a bit strong when they come out of the box so some airing out might be a good idea if they bother someone. I happen to get migraines and can only smell the new ones if I am on top of them, same goes for the older ones. It's a bit of a wispy smell, not at all jarring.

From time to time, I check the schedule on QVC’s website to see what vendor is listed in the midnight hour since the Today’s Special Value is usually from that vendor. I saw “Flameless Candles” listed for today and got all excited.

Well, it's a flameless candle wall sconce. :snooty: Definitely not something I'm interested in, but thought I'd mention it in case anyone else is.

sounds instresting. I have a dumb male cat. He sniffed a candle and burned his wiskers. Then while visiting a family freind (cause he didnt learn) he sniffed again and burned a good deal of his fur off his face.

My curious cat growing up did this twice. Frizzled her little whiskers off!

Wow, this is like my dream shopping combination. :thumbsup2

Yes. I forgot to thank you for the info Janice. If it wasn't so cold right now, I'd take the bus out there and do some major shopping. :cloud9:

Bumping this up as a question for you all, especially those who bought the Costco candles.

I bought an adorable set of flameless candy cane striped candles before the holidays at Christmas Tree Shops. They worked great and I decided to get some more for after the holidays.

I replaced them with a set of plain white ones and am disappointed in those. They never really got bright enough, they had a black "hole" in the top which was unsightly (which I didn't notice before I bought - I keep them on a kitchen island so they're very noticable), and then the batteries died after just a week or so. (And those round batteries are really expensive to replace. :headache: ) So these were a complete waste of time and money and I don't want to go down that road again.

I've searched around and read reviews, and these are the ones I think are the best and want to buy. I love the timer option - I turn the candles on in the evening so it would be perfect. They're also reported to have a very long battery life. http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Operated-Flameless-Scented-Candles/dp/B002SM77U4/ref=pd_sbs_k_1

Problem. I'm reading that these are the same ones that Costco was selling for $19.99 (and dipped to even less on clearance, apparently?). Now these same ones are $125.00 :scared1: plus $29.99 shipping at Amazon. :scared1: I love Amazon and just placed an order last week - but that seems ridiculous! (They also have "melted" ones of the same brand for $119.00 but I prefer the straight edge if possible, fyi.)

I've searched the net for them elsewhere and all links seem to lead back to the Amazon rip off, lol. Does anyone know if Costco still has these now? (None listed on website, and I'm not a member but have friends that are.) Or does anyone know where else these can be bought for a more reasonable price than $150??

PS I checked out the ones Christmas Tree Shops has now and a) they only had one size and I'd like the set of 3, and b) I don't think they were the same brand as the candy cane ones which came as a set (for $6, then less on clearance; now I wish I bought more).

Thanks!
