Yes I have conf numbers for her and us. There is 1 business/full fare seat left according to the website for the flight out, back has plenty. I see that they charged the $5.60 twice, and I never got a cancellation email. Still waiting for the call back... I guess its just $5 to book a second seat an cancel it if they find the original so we can at least get there.... I'll wait a few mins more since I *do* have conf #'s.
Definitely a weird glitch...Are you able to verify those conf#'s maybe logged into your daughter's RR account? I always make sure to add each person's flights to their accounts (even if on points or CP) just so I can track them down on the SW website if I ever need to, lol!

I've never made her an account. I am at work so limited what I can do right now. I do see on the website it says both conf #'s for each flight. So it shows it like it does for the Oct trips, but it allows me to attempt to make changes (Should not allow this if a companion was assigned) and it gives the "Add Companion" on the phone app... So its really strange. Hopefully they call back soon.

I would agree that the assumptions made thus far could be wrong. The wording released (all stemming from a FlyerTalk poster who is a supposed SPG employee) seems intentionally vague. It would seem to me that until something official comes out from Marriott, that all options are on the table so your theory is as good as any :)

Yeah I was just thinking about it since I'm like 99% sure they're not just going to give you 25 or 35k in your account for your free night certificate. They'd be giving you another cert worth that amount. So possibly they do the same with the nights and flights certs, rather than give you points in your account you get a cert that gives you X nights at a hotel worth that amount of points per night. But since they changed the categories and point values around they still need to map to an equivalent point value, at this time they don't know what that is. (otherwise a cat 8 seems like a steal )

Could be stretching but the more I'm thinking about it that seems more plausible. But given their propensity for vagueness, who knows :)

Good Luck - probably just some "strange Southwest IT" and hopefully you're all set :)

Yeah, hopefully. Guess they can't let Disney IT have all the fun. :rotfl2:
Southwest and Disney IT are equally bad in my experience. MY worst SW experience happened on multiple occasions (in a similar fashion). When I was trying to book a flight for my daughter, using a combination of travel credit and gift card...the screen error-ed out multiple times but was charging my gift card and zapped my travel credit. I ended up on the phone for 2 hours with SW the next day trying to fix it. Had a similar issue happen a few months later on the next release when attempting to use a travel credit and credit card. Apparently the screen where you link a minor child to the adult reservation has some glitch in it that when using multiple payment methods it messes the system up. My fix for this...I "accidentally" typo both my daughter's years when purchasing tickets to make them 10 years older. There's no birth-date on the boarding pass so we've had no issues doing this.

All, If you were to choose between the two - would you apply for the CSR or the CSP and why? I'm kinda anxious about double dipping and having three credit cards although with the hurricane house and the new house (and our trip to Disney in July) I know that I could meet that minimum spend amount in the allotted time frame... not saying that I'm not going to do it, but 3 open credit cards?

I personally think the CSR is much more valuable because of the travel credit and 1.5 redemption rates, along with the 3x on travel and restaurants. So, I would go for that one first. If you're double dipping, go for the one you want more first. That way you won't be stuck with the one you didn't want as much if there's an issue with being approved for both.

Yeah this sounded like a IT glitch. It made the ticket but didn't link it back to the original conf number as a companion ticket. Kinda sounded like I could have made another as that was a standard ticket at this point. She 're-assigned' it back to the original reservation as a companion and it now shows up correctly. Boy that was stressful!

if I had to choose one, it be the CSR. CSR is $450 in fees but the benefits outway it. $300 Travel credit, 3x instead of 2x, Priority Pass, 6 hour travel delay, GE credit... its worth a lot more than what the CSP offers and for only about $55 more.
as for your second question, ive got 12 open credit card lines... ill let @SouthFayetteFan say himself how many open credit lines he has. :]

@gottalovepluto Ok, that I know how to do, the issue I was having with that was, Memory Bank will only show me an ACH number, not an account number and routing number? It says in their FAQ that a routing number may not be available?

@Albort This is the other concern I have as Memory's requirements say ACH deposit, will a normal bank transfer still work? How do I make sure I send it ACH?

Lastly, for those of you who do multiple bank bonuses, what accounts do you use? I can only have 3 banks tied to Cap One and I have to keep my primary account attached. I guess for Chase and Discover I could move all my money to US Bank first, then out to them, as those don't have to be ACH?
Not sure what you mean by ACH number. The routing number for memory bank is 091017620. The account number can be found on the confirmation page when you applied for the account. At the end it said "Welcome to Memory Bank" and gave you your account number. As a last resort you can always call the bank for the account number or for how to find it online. I could not seem to find it online.

If you want to do a number of these we recommond a "hub" account, as you are describing using your US Bank account, that allows lots of other accounts to attach to it. I'm not sure how good US Bank is at that since I rarely use my USB account, common hub accounts are Ally, Schwab and Discover. (Schwab runs bonuses sometimes and hard pulls for an account fyi.)

I've never said this to anyone but don't overthink this one :) This bank bonus is simple at heart and we have hundreds of DPs of it working just fine. Any 3 transfers from any bank of $200 to the account should get you $100 on 6/15. (@Albort and I were burned ONCE on Chase's definition of "ACH" but that's the only time I (we?) have ever seen that happen. ACH simply means bank to bank transfer everywhere else.)

*ALL banks have routing numbers

So as is my usual SW opening day experience, flights to SoCal are ridiculous for December. I am not even looking at a holiday, just wanted to do Dec in DL as some here suggested. I'm not discouraged though, will keep watching and in true SW fashion, they will drop. SW is basically Kohl's, a pricing model that makes me crazy.:sad2:
Any reason to not at least lock something in...in case they don't drop? lol! Or if they didn't drop would you just not do the trip?

1) If you plan to use the points to book travel through the UR portal (or through the cruise/package dept)...then the 1.50x on the CSR swings it favor of that card.
2) IF you planned to transfer points to Southwest or Hyatt...then it's really a toss-up. If you can use the TSA credit then I'd say the CSR still wins there...if not, it's all in your personal preference as the math is probably +/- $50 on the two offers at that point.

- My report only shows 23 open card accounts right now. I'm slowly pulling that number back though with closures :) It also shows 26 closed CC accounts LOL!
- My wife's report should soon be down to showing 8 open card accounts (with 20 closed).

I'm really trying to clean up the reports and keep overall credit limits down. Gotta avoid the Chase Shutdown eyes :)

CIP currently earns 3x on Plastiq, taking your fee down to a profit of .5%
Currently, all mastercards are fee free up to $250 until a certain date(im not sure what date). You can probably send multiple $250s.
i had the CIP working until last night. i got blocked from using it now. they caught me lol. i just have never looked at any other cards. is it a good idea to get a mc just to pay my mortgage?
