I love credit cards so much!

Congratulations! CIP and Marriott Biz don’t count against 5/24. For the CIP, you need to be under 5/24 to get approved. For the Marriott Biz, you can be over 5/25 and still apply.

However, if your */3, */6, and */12 card counts are looking pretty high, you may not want to tempt a Chase shutdown by going for the Marriott Biz.
For me, it would be maybe end of this year / beginning of next year for Marriott, but maybe I’ll skip it. I would do Citi business first and then something for DH.

THE Melissa is the one that messed up my tickets on Thursday. And she was off on Friday. And we were busy all day today so didn't get a chance to call back again. 9-9 ET M-F and 9-5 on Saturday. But @DaveL if you could pm me her email that would be great.

PM Sent. Hopefully she can get them corrected! Sorry to hear that, so far she's been great to work with.

Can you explain this to me. I am confused as to if this means credit limit chase has given me across all cards or the balance I keep on them. I do not keep a balance on my cards so no issue there. But Lets just say my income is 100K and I have 3 CC with chase with 10K credit limit on each. Does this mean I will not get approved for another?

It is the credit limit that Chase has extended to you. So 10k across 3 different cards means that you have a Chase credit limit that is equal to 30% of your income. There is no hard and fast rule as to when you have too much credit extended. I have had over 50% and still gotten approved for a new card. But I had to call Chase and have them move credit around from other cards to get it approved. The advice is to reduce your lines down to 30% of your income to improve the odds of auto-approval.

I am missing something. How do you get one free?:confused3 I want a free one!

Hahaha! For example, ebates sends me a check and I buy a Disney gift card with it. Or, sometimes I get a $20 reward cert for Best Buy and use that to buy a dis gc. These are rare instances.
I am trying to get into the swagbucks but it is a lot of work and I’m not sure I have the time or patience for it.

I will admit, I don't know everything :) I'm normally not into this Plastiq thing but now that I have the CIP it makes sense in some situations.

If I'm doing the math right - I pay a $10,000 bill, I pay $250 in fees so $10,250 goes on my card and I'll earn 30,750 URs. I could cash them out for $307.50 and come out $57.50 ahead. Or I could go the travel route and I get $461.25. In rough numbers it's like buying a night at a Disney Deluxe resort for $250 - basically sounds like 45% off to me :) haha!

I'm not sure I really need more URs in the queue at this point...but I'll find a use for them.

Yes, this is why I pay to send my mortgage thru plastiq. 12k URs in one foul swoop.

Shoot! I was going to use PP in Oct... I wonder if they count a six year old?

Read it again and it says Two guests, I first read that as two total. It would be me and two others each trip so I think I am still good.

So it is the card holder plus two guests, so if it is just a family of 3, that should be alright.

It had me worried at first because the last time I was the MCO lounge they wanted my card and then asked my wife if she had a card and she did so presented it. Maybe they get more by running it as two card vs one card with two guests. I didn't know it was unlimited guests, figured it was limited to one thats why they needed another card.

DH took me when picking out a ring. I think he was worried he would mess it up and I would be unhappy. Before we went, I chose 4 styles that I liked and then when we got to the store, he picked from those. He wanted to make sure I was happy enough with the size too. :P I opted for one just under 1 carat that was much higher quality than the ones that were 1 carat+. It was also so much cheaper to get the one just under 1 carat. Then with the savings, I got to pick a diamond eternity band for my wedding ring instead of just a plain band. :D

ETA: He couldn't propose to me until his parents met my parents. It is a cultural thing. So both sets of parents (plus DH's brother) came for a weekend and he proposed in front of everyone. Disneyland sounds nicer.

And that was a time when I took out a new credit card for a purchase. DH was a Canadian citizen and didn't live in the US, so I actually had to buy the ring.

DH picked out the ring as I am not really picky at all (I actually only wear my ring during the work week; weekends and vacation I put it away). But the funny thing is that I effectively paid for it. He put it on his credit card with the intention to make payments. I wasn’t a churner 14 years ago but I also could not stand to have a balance on a card month to month! Plus even then I made more money than he did. That is actually pretty awesome @speedyfishy you were able to meet your minimum spend with the CIC with the ring. Only thing better is if you could have got gift cards at the office supply store for the jewelry store and got the 5 times a point. :)

This only further solidifies my plan to apply for CIC before 5/20.

GAAAAAH I want CIC but I have to get DH CSR/CSP next month!! Dangit!
I would get CIC if you can beforehand 5/20 BUT it may not go away. Freedom didn’t go away when CFU came out.

It also feels like Chase is rounding out a Biz lineup to match personal:
CF = CIC
CFU= CIU
CSP = CIP
CSR = c’mon Chase this would be awesome!!

LOL!

Who knows? I just don't want to take that chance. With no AF, that card is great. We have almost met the minimum spend on DH's CIC. I went today and bought $600 in Home Depot gift cards so I could order a storm door and attic ladder. With all of the home improvement projects that we have planned, these cards will really come in handy.
