I love credit cards so much!

The way I read the announcement on this is that only guests who book a package through Disney at these hotels will be eligible for the 60-day FP+ booking. All guests will be eligible for EMH, but I read the FP+ part as a Disney package is required to get the benefit. Anyone else read/interpret it differently? Or has anyone contacted Disney to clarify? It would be great if you could book at one of these hotels on points and still get 60-day FP+ but that’s not what it sounded like to me.
That's how I read it as well, must be a package.

I may use it up in Vancouver if I can come up with something I want to do up there besides eat I can go up and back in one day so if I just want to eat I'll do that instead.
Ha ha. One of the reasons I would love to cruise out of Vancouver is to spend 3-4 days there eating and exploring, especially Chinatown

That face when me and my wife are at Best Buy, trying to log into Chase Pay to pay for $400 in VGCs, and the app pops up an error that says the wife’s account is suspended.

The wife’s face when she looks at you and demands to know, “what did you doooo?!?!” because of course it has to be my credit card shenanigans.

:guilty:

How I felt making her call into Chase.

Turns out it was an anti-fraud protection because we were logging her account into the Chase Pay mobile app for the first time. They sent a verification code and reinstated access to the account. In the back of my mind I was worried it might be a shutdown.

So, the trip that was made possible by multiple sign-up bonuses ("This Disney Trip is brought to you by Chase.." LOL) has come and gone, and it was so splendid!

Now it's time to ramp up for the next one. I'm cooling my jets with the applications. About to finish up a spend on my Cap One Venture card to get the sign-up bonus to pay for flights for my parents to Colorado this summer. After that, I'm just maximizing cash back through 2018. I've even opened a new savings account just for Disney. All cash back and any other "found" money will go into that account.

Probably not hitting Disney again until 2019, thought not sure if it will be spring, summer, Thanksgiving, or Christmastime yet. Really contemplating Thanksgiving.

:cool1: Returned car rental on 17th, same day for new TC on csr- didn't show till the 19th, posted on 18th... tc for 2018 used!!!! (Dh card) perfect timing... used 1/2 of tc on my csr at dolphin on food and fees.... happy dance!- I posted a while back about those close dates for return/new statement date...relieved! Weird posting of charge tho- we picked up car on 9th, CSR cc on rental- returned at about 3 pm on 17th, and....nothing. No pending, nothing. Took 2 full days to see the full charge appear. Strange. (but I'm happy, was trying to keep costs way down this past trip)
And what I forgot to say...on Dh's CSR that's a triple dip!!!:cool1::banana::cheer2: for mine it's a double dip... so now I have to do the PC correctly....

In the midst of all the Chase shutdowns, I am actually thinking about getting another Chase card in the family... I have CSP and CF with my DH as an AU. I do not do any sort of MS at all and didn't even max out my Wal-mart 5% category. DH has (legitimately) started doing an Amazon/Ebay selling business over the last two months and has actually made several hundred dollars doing it! Thinking maybe I'll go for the CIP under his name and see how it works out. That Disney vacation is in sight!

The CIP seems like a great choice for you. I wouldn’t worry about the chase shutdowns with your current situation. It doesn’t seem like you are doing any of the behaviors that are triggering people to be shutdown.

Cancelled my Amtrak Guest Rewards card with BofA, so that's a $79 AF off the list for 2018. The rep asked if I wanted to downgrade to the card with no fee (because I said my reason for cancelling is that I don't use the benefits enough to justify paying the fee) but I declined. I will likely pick up the no-fee version in the future, and then I'll be able to earn whatever bonus is associated with it.

So my CIP cards were waiting for me in the mail. By cards I mean two different cards, both in my name, with different account numbers??? I'm super lost. And kind of scared to call:)!

Ok. I called and had added myself as an employee so they send me a boss card and an employee card! Real smooth on my part:)

Could one be your dd's? Your name would probably be on there if your name is also the name of your business.

Uhhh..."probably Thanksgiving 2019" just became "definitely June 2018".

I blame the Rapid Rewards points and David's DVC rental making it all too easy.
I hear you! In May I started planning a Nov 2018 Aulani trip, but then I realized if I applied for a few more cards and got DH his own CSP we could go this year, so we went last month instead!

Arrrrgh!!! Why does the real world and life always have to get in the way of fun and vacations. So some of you may remember I have an overwater bungalow trip earmarked for 2020. They are usually an obscene amount of points per night. Hilton releases 95,000 points per night availability at the Conrad Maldives and we have enough points to stay 5 nights. The dates I can take off are available so I check with DH to see if he has the time. Mind you, this is his bucket list item, not mine. Unfortunately, since he has to accrue his vacation time he isn’t able to swing it between the China, Japan, Hawaii and Antarctica trips. Got all excited and ready for a challenge on booking airfare for nothing. Sigh ... #firstworldproblems

Same here. I take days off for DSs days off school so that leaves me about 2 vacations per year. My vacation requests can only be 6 months in advance. DHs boss is also a control freak and sadist and has been known to hold vacation requests on his desk for months. Ugh.

I just had to look up this resort as a way of living vicariously. WOWZA! Forget the overwater bungalow, how much for an underwater room? And that underwater restaurant!

I know right! No idea and no intentions of paying real money for the overwater bungalow. Totally planning the dine at the underwater restaurant though!
