Super excited about the 2-br! It was, give or take, the same points as two moderate rooms.

I've thought about upgrading our tickets to AP's but we're talking about trying to go to DL next year. We took the girls when they were little but my boys have never been and the girls really want to go back.

Instead of bank accounts for CC funding to meet the MSR, I've just been essentially replicating the formula for CCs with bank account bonuses now. In some ways, this almost requires somewhat less work (apart from making sure you meet the requirements to avoid monthly fees, but M&T for example has been ridiculously lucrative and makes it almost stupid easy to avoid fees) and offers a higher return for my time since it's just a matter of applying and making sure the deposits trigger the bonus by moving money around between banks, all of which probably is 15-30 min of work and no net cash outlay. In 2-player mode and almost over 1K (which actually compared to redditors is nothing), all in less than a month

Combined with CCs, this helps accelerate many travel goals

I'm not sure if it's the best use of points but I booked a Disney Cruise for my family of 3 out of NYC (no flights needed) and paid $3000 out of the $4800 with credit card rewards and Swagbucks. Our limo ride to and from our hotel was paid for with Barclay Arrival Plus.

How did you pay for the cruise with and which rewards? We also are Dis Cruise people and just came
from the 11 nighter. I booked another summer cruise and other than the gift cards i have been
hoarding is there another way to pay? I do have $500 Barclay Travel Credit, $700 Cap1 Venture travel
credit and the Reserve credit i have been saving to use towards it.

Is there anything else i could be using? Thx

The most recent QJ code worked for me; I think this was the one giving people issues whereas the other two are still working well it seems based on DoC and reddit DPs. I'm in a target state, though, but this is my 4th Also recycled a code recently for DBF and so far so good. Will be trying again after a week or so, just to let it cool down a bit.

Just got our 100K award for the new personal platinum AmEx. Going to use that to book tickets for our January trip to Disney. Flights are insanely expensive since we fly out right after the new year, so I'm happy to have the points!

if a person has a business (for real) and a few chase cards, but looking to do a big disney trip next year,what are some good steps? They already did SWA and have flight points, they already did SPGx2 for dolphin, so their flights and hotel are covered- now they're looking at tickets and food. (family of 5) what's theire next best option for points that canbe used for those things? I'm not sure if they have the inclination to go through gift cards for that small discount..... but they're asking me for help....

I think you can call Chase UR and pay for a cruise directly with ur UR points. Im not sure about Disney though.

Then a few days ago a fare for 145 popped up and coincidentally for my new Alaska card. Coming cross
country from California I was THRILLED. I didn't even bother using my points. It was $400 last month
So keep checking!!

I paid bills with the credit cards. Then once I met the spend I'd take the statement credit or get cash for UR points. Then I take the money I would normally use to pay the credit card (amt budgeted for gas/utilities/groceries) and deposit it to savings since the statement credit paid off my bills.

That's part of our problem. We live in Southern Missouri and flights out of our local airport are never good and we are leaving January 2nd, so the fares are killing us. We could drive to KC and get cheaper flights, but they are not substantially less, so once you figure in driving and parking, it really is a wash.

Sounds like us. Our local airport is double the cost and i don't see it going down. We have to drive
hour and a half away to a major one. It is that first week in January why prices are a Killer!!

Statement just closed on my Chase Hyatt card and although I've only spent $700 out of the $2,000 MS to get the 2 free nights, my 5,000 bonus points plus $50 statement credit already posted. I was able to book a Hyatt Place for Valentines weekend for me and DH. It cost only 5,000 points. Plan to use the 2 free nights at Hyatt Regency Toronto since the Park Hyatt Toronto is closed for refurbishment during our trip next June.

Approval for the Barclaycard Arrival+ !! They got my docs Fri and I didn't see any status change online so I called today and the rep said they received my docs, everything looked good and that I was approved with a 10K limit and to expect the card in 7-10 business days (although on the original app I'd selected expedited shipping for the $15 fee, I don't need it quickly anymore as I couldn't wait any longer to charge the expense but it's worth noting that part seems to disappear if you have to go through security review). If you go into security review don't be afraid to call the number and check on your status, you might be able to "hasten" it along a bit if they've received the docs but haven't gotten around to reviewing them
