Oh! I wish I could convince DW to do the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. No dice.

I've ALWAYS wanted to go to the Olympics and ALWAYS wanted to go to Japan, so I'm considering this a buy one, get one free deal Most of the equestrian events I want to see are the final week of the games, so I'm hoping we can fly out the weekend before that and stay for about 10-12 days, doing Tokyo Disney and going to Osaka during the second half of our time there.

Does anyone know about using a spouses CC on your plastiq account? I need to get to meeting MSR on DH's SW card and my plastiq has all the accounts saved in it already.

I’m really behind, but you can definitely do that (if it hasn’t been answered already!) We put over 100,000 worth of spend on Plastiq during those mc promos last summer/fall and I used a combination of my ccs and DH ccs. All through my Plastiq account with no problem.

Ok I have weird question (what else is new for me) regarding a bank payment and a cc..... I see a payment I made on 1/4 to a chase cc is still authorizing in my bank acct today(I'm hoping this means the payment counted on 1/4!) and another payment to a chase cc on P2 acct.... I just noticed this discrepancy and looking for some quick advice. I paid $400 to the swa cc balance,planning to finish it all this week. when I went to check the accts today- payment shows it has gone thru and credited to cc acct, but nothing shows on the back acct page.(!!!) when I look for payment details on cc page, I can see the 2 of the last 4 bank acct #'s transposed. I checked the other accts on the same chase page and it shows correctly. I'm super anxious right now about what to do and who to call. I want this payment to post and the credit to show for obvious point bonus reasons by 1/11. I'm scared if I call someone now, it'll take longer than these few days to sort out that 400.00. WWYD? Please help with advice,I'm not looking to scam anyone, I'm just concerned the bonus will be in limbo if I mess with this wight this minute. I did go in and readjust and make sure I finished paying the comple SWA balance today with the correct bank #. If I don't see it in my bank acct,then how did the payment process?

Yeah, no kidding! I have seriously considered reaching out to them and asking if they would give me some sort of discount or promo ha ha! Figured it couldn’t hurt to ask but I would be fully prepared for a resounding “no”!

I've definitely waited weeks before for a refund. I don't know if it's because this was the magical booking or what, but the refund says it's from Disney.

Maybe that's it. Maybe it's giving me time to change my CSR to a Freedom so when the refunds come through they will only deduct 1 UR/$ instead of 3...

Dang it! Don't be giving hubby any ideas AmEx, I was trying to get rid of that AF this year!

I think he's grandfathered into an older version of this product so I'm not sure he'd get the new stuff, but if he sees it he might try to keep it. But the Amazon Prime could be interesting if that comes to fruition. Wonder if you get the Prime from AmEx can you keep the Amazon Prime card from Chase
If so, and all Greens get the new bennies, I am probably never getting rid of this card...

Did the bonus points from the SW RR shopping portal thing post? The one that ended 11/18? I see points for my purchases but not the 500 bonus yet. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it.

Haha, yeah, one of our friends is Japanese and that's what she said. We're from Virginia and are experienced with 90% humidity though, so it sounds like it will probably just be standard weather for us. Plus, we're going for the Olympics which is a life dream of mine, so I don't really have an option on when to go haha.

Anyone who has gotten the Arrival + recently, how long has it taken for the card to show up? I chose the $15 expedited fee on application (then it took 24 hours for approval, hopefully the expedited part sticks). My Sams membership expires Friday and I want to go there to get GC to pay my DVC dues before then. Tick tock, tick tock LOL.

I chose the $15 expedited fee on application (then it took 24 hours for approval, hopefully the expedited part sticks). My Sams membership expires Friday and I want to go there to get GC to pay my DVC dues before then. Tick tock, tick tock LOL.

I felt like it took forever. DH had to talk to them, got approval and maybe almost 2 weeks. Didn’t pay for expidited delivery though

In my quest to streamline my cards and decrease AFs this year, I cancelled my EDP Saturday and applied for the BBP.

I had to go to recon because the cancellation didn't show immediately (the lady even said "you have 5" [um no I don't!] before seeing that the EDP had been closed). Since I had to call twice it's being shipped priority and I should get it by Weds. I'm going to split my quarterly tax payment and complete AA Biz MSR in one fell swoop and half of BBP MSR-whoo hoo!

I couldn't decide between the BBP and Hilton Aspire but I think for non bonused spend and with no AF, BBP makes the most sense for me right now.

So Plat-5X airfare
(rose) Gold-4x grocery/restaurants
BGR---3x gas
BBP---2x everything else

Pretty solid-I'd love the Amex Green refresh to apply to the Biz Green-then I could drop the BGR but right now very happy with the line up. Another $95 saved, as well

You laugh but I swear 58 feels so cold when the sun goes down and there's a breeze...DH and I had the heat blasting and seat warmers on last weekend when we left dinner!

I am confused. Your payments have nothing to do the SW bonus points posting since they are tied to your purchases, making the MSR and your statements closing. While not ideal, people don't have their balances paid in full to get the bonus points.

I do know what you mean! I just grew up with it and it doesn't bother me, but on our Dec and Jan trips so far usually DH gets cold way before I do, if I get cold at all

Wow. I was hoping I could turn MRs into a trip there, but I also have other places in mind as well, but I'm sad to see it's not easy to get tickets. I do have some AA miles, but not nearly enough.

Awe, I don’t want to discourage you because I’m sure it can be done, I just wanted to share my experience to give you a heads up. Our situation is complicated a tiny bit by the fact that we are stopping in NZ on the way there and Fiji on the way back.

UA wouldn’t stop in Fiji, AA wouldn’t stop in NZ. So unfortunately I had to book each way as one-way. Had I been able to book a round-trip I could have added on the other places as a free stopovers (“free” in terms of not needing to use extra points) Even so, I am still somewhat pleased with it only being 15,000 to get from NZ to Australia, and then another 15,000 to get from Australia to Fiji. I think it could have been worse!!

And to answer my own question, guess what FedEx just dropped off?? That was crazy fast! Guess a trip to Sams is in my future in the next couple days. And it's here in time for $1000-$1500 vet bills coming next week.
