2 totally unrelated questions

1. For anyone recently approved for CIC, how long did it take to get your card?

2. Any Disneyland peeps know how much the VIP tours cost? How long and do they include a park hopper ticket or is that separate? @Albort ? Was thinking of doing this one day for our 2020 trip which is DSs choice for his 5th grade “graduation”

So is it an honest mistake on her part, and she’s just as confused as you why some info in “her” account matches her but some doesn’t? Or is she’s purposefully committing a fraudulent act and stealing your points?
I think it may have started as an honest mistake, but booking this flight was definitely fraud. She didn't earn enough in flight miles for even one ticket, much less 2. She booked two flights to Nashville last week for her and her husband, I assume anyway same last name. And this is the first time the actual information in the account was changed, address, email, phone. AA did say that the account was flagged last week for investigation, but nothing was done yet. Now, whether or not that was AA catching something, or her contacting them to say I was the fraud, I do not know.

Edited to add, I still have on idea how she logs in, when it's still my username and password and my AA number.

All that AA talk, prompted me to look at my account. Yeah, on the phone with them now, someone with my name just took a flight with almost all my miles last week!
Oh wow, I'm glad that you looked at your account and caught this!

I redeemed some of my JetBlue points last week for my DH and 2 kids, but I bought my ticket with cash since I had a JB travel credit. I immediately got an email from JB saying that someone was taking a dip in my points, or something like that and to let them know if I didn't initiate it. I thought it was kind of odd, but now I'm really glad JB does that!

I'm going to earn another 400k URs this year

They shutdown their SM system BUT you in typical Citi fashion you can still send SMs if you use the backdoor method and somebody is still reading them and listening haha

That explains why I couldn't find a way to send an SM this morning and had to use their crappy chat feature.

I am debating spending on the Amtrak World card to get up to status. The card gives you 1,000 Tier Qualifying Points per $5,000 spent, up to a maximum of 4,000 TQPs per year. I realized thanks to the 3x promo I'll have my first $5k hit this statement, so I'd still need to spend $15k on the card to get the others.

Amtrak status gets bumped up at 5,000 TQPs, so I'll need to spend $500 on Amtrak travel this year to get the other 1,000 TQPs. That has already happened and those TQPs will post by April. Priority boarding at Union Station and Penn Station is worth the cost.

So that leaves the $15k to spend... this would be much easier if P2 or I could ever get approved for those dang PNC accounts.

This doesn't really warrant a response, it's more of a stream of consciousness.

I am having trouble with the PNC approval also. And I've had one account for the last 23 years until the new Discover checking I just opened.

Any DP's? I want to downgrade DH's Ink Preferred card (I already have one), but he already has the Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited. Will Chase allow him to downgrade and get a second card?

I did it on the Delta Gold Biz when it had an elevated offer. The offer at that time was 50k SkyMiles + $50 credit towards a Delta purchase for $2,000 spend (and the AF is waived in year 1). I sold the $50 Delta card on Raise and received $42 and got $250 in Target Cards from the SkyMiles. (I fully acknowledge there was more value in using them for flights but I had no reason to ever fly Delta so that was off the table). $292 back on $2,000 at a 14.6% return was good enough for me :) I know Delta offers change all the time but right now I think it's only 30k miles + $50 gift for $1k spend. I'd probably hold out for a higher offer. Of course the other thing now is with AMEX, signing up for a card for only the bonus isn't a great plan as it can get you in their doghouse. I'd struggle to continue to put spend on a Delta card at a terrible return just to keep them happy...so that warrants consideration too.

I'm not too far behind you on this...it feels super sad...I agree

I would definitely wait for a higher offer. I have 5 amex cards that I'm trying to do a little spend on each month right now, so it would probably not be good as I would really be spread thin.

I think if you call they can issue you a check...or if you wait long enough they'll automatically issue a check. OR you might be able to transfer that credit to another AMEX card with a balance.

I should have read before replying!

Alright, I have been so busy with the holidays and everything I haven’t been able to focus on my churning.

After my huge app-o-ramas I’m left with completing the spend on SOs Southwest Priority, Citi AA Biz, Citi AA personal and half way done with the Barclay Aviator. Pretty manageable. I will also be going to the grocery store soon and I will get $2500 in gift cards on my Gold card so I can max the 25k without doing too much at one time.

After my minimum spends are done I’m going to try and MS and max the CIP 3x bonus. I’m hoping to make $900 a month. This could really help us with our wedding costs. I’d like to use our wedding gifts to buy DVC.

In Feb I think I can get another AA card and I will probably close my Delta Amex cards and open the personal cards.
