I love credit cards so much!

I’m wondering while you decide on your next move, if you throw a few months of $10k spend on your Biz Plat (and earn 1.5x MR for $5k+ transactions), whether that will get you off Amex’s naughty list.

That's not a bad idea!

Something else I just thought of... I realized I have a EIN already set up for a real estate trust. Does it make sense for me to apply for something with this?

When applying for a Chase Business card does it still help to lower your available credit on non-business chase cards?

It sounds like you may have to jump through a few for hoops like @LynnTH had to do recently but it sounds doable to get Chase biz cards again with your EIN. Go for another CIP and use your own support link!

Hi all, does anyone have any suggestions for a new Biz card for me? I will be spending about $10,000 per month this year, so a big MSR would be fine. No AMEX, as they don't like me right now :(

Chase Sapphire Reserve 1/18/2018
JetBlue Plus 1/31/2018
SPG Biz Amex 3/27/2018
CIC 5/15/2018
Amex Biz Plat 7/31/2018
Amex Biz Green 8/2/2018
Barclay Arrival Plus 9/25/2018
Amex Rose Gold 11/5/2018
Chase Ink Preferred 11/20/2018

Thank you!
What about JB biz? I think you may have missed higher sign up bonus but rumor has it if you have both the biz and personal you get 20% back with redemption. If you fly JB this could be very valuable. Otherwise I’d lower CLs and wait until after 2/20 and go for CIU. I’m in a very similar line up so keep us posted what route you go.

$300 posted to my PNC account! Pushed $5k from Chase 12/14, pulled most of it out using Ally 12/18. Did the debit transactions earlier in Dec via Amazon reload.
Congrats on the "free" money!!! How much did you leave in to remain fee-free or did you down grade the account after getting the bonus? I am thinking of doing this but need to get all my steps in order.

Erika, you're approved!
You have been approved for the Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card. You will receive your new card, a paper copy of your Cardmember Agreement and other important disclosures in 7-10 business days.

Now...I used the 50k link posted here, do I SM to confirm the amount of my spend needed, or just let it ride and hope for the best?
Congrats!!:cheer2:party::cheer2: on the approval. I SMed the same day I was approved with just the simple "I want to confirm the sign-up bonus, spend and time required on this credit card". Hoping the link was still live for you.

I was actually just saying to my coworker that I need more JB points, so that is a good thought! I wonder if it's hard to get if I already have the JB Plus and the Arrival +.

And as I read through this thread this morning, there is The Points Guy, talking to Carson on the Today Show.

Isn't that just annoying?? It's like churning is like fight club, no one talks about outside the circle. He annoys me not so much for the semi-bad info he gives but that the more he talks, the harder it becomes to churn.

Referred my wife yesterday for Hilton Honors and she was approved. Instead of having a new separate Hilton Honors account for her, I just put my existing HH account number for her when it asked for a HH account number. Trying to keep all HH points in one place. I hope I did not make a mistake, but it seemed to process and went through with no problem. Will this be an issue?

I've always applied with my DH's HHs number. 2X without a problem. Of course at the time, I didn't know that you could transfer between spouses. I may or may not try it again as either way they're going to end up in the same account regardless if I transfer them or not.

I’d research a little on Doc or reddit. Are you spending on both cards now? I think Barclay likes that. And maybe the biz vs personal could work in your favor??

Okay so I'm looking at the cards I want to possibly get once I hit this $4k on the Aspire. Remind me again.....

Biz cards do NOT apply towards the 5/24, correct?
I have to be under 5/24 to have any luck w/ Chase, right? So I can't apply when I hit 5/24, I want to wait until I hit 4/24 if it's a Chase card?

I'm not looking to be under 5/24 until Oct/Nov of this year. The card I want is the CIP, no other Chase card is tickling my fancy right now. But there's a LONG time between now and Nov and other cards might come onto the radar, LOL. I mean at the point I'm regularly spending $2k/mo on a credit card, I almost feel it's wasteful if it's not going towards a MSR, LOL.

Yeah - in your situation you want to focus on only non-Chase business cards until November (AMEX, Citi, etc.). You need to get to 4/24 to be approved for the CIP. That is a long time...but it could be possible to fill the next 10ish months with biz cards :)

Thanks, I'll search back in the thread to see what those hoops were! Another 100,000 URs would be nice!

Sorry, my memory is not as good as @Lain's so I don't remember all she had to do. I know she had to send in some verification of her EIN paperwork (the approval letter I believe...). It's been pretty recent so shouldn't have to go back far.

Are you under 5/24? If so, another CIP via self referral! 80k UR signup bonus + 20k UR referral bonus!

ETA: just caught up to @wendow’s same suggestion.

Thanks, I found it pretty quickly. It looks like she just need the EIN welcome letter, which I do have.

I'm currently at 4/24, but I just got a CIP in my name in November. I think I may go for the JB Biz now and then try for a CIP with the EIN a few months down the road. Although for business type, I have no idea what I'm supposed to put when applying with the EIN - is it still sole proprietor?

When applying for a Chase Business card does it still help to lower your available credit on non-business chase cards?

Yes, as Chase looks at the total credit lines that it’s extended to you across personal and business cards (your exposure risk to Chase).

It is my understanding the SW biz 60,000 going away in a few days also, correct? I thought I would wait to get DHs biz, I don't think we will use CP until summer, but now wondering if I should not wait. With my just getting United and still finishing off personal SW I didn't want too much MSR as I am really trying to decrease our spending this year. And I didn't realize he was at 70K with Chase. I did lower some limits, but it was just last week. What to do, what to do.

The best news I had today was finally our HS went to online paying of AP tests!! Yay finally can use a CC for this stupid expense. I am not a College Board fan. So that is $500+ I can add to my spend. I think I am talking myself into applying now.
