Sorry to bring everyone down. I read more about the 11 year old boy that died in a car wreck. He was with his 13 yo sister, dad, and uncle in Texas. They were going there to deliver stuff for their religion like bibles or posters. They got rearended by a pick up truck and they were in a van. His sister had a broken collarbone and the two adults are fine I believe. Still really sad :sad1:
My son is 11 so this strikes home. I can’t imagine life without him. I would be devastated. So tragic for that family.

Question for those of you who have had an acct with PNC-

Is it pretty easy to transfer money from PNC back to your main acct? We don’t have branches around here so I’ll have my direct deposit sent to PNC and then online transfer the money back to Chase(my main bank)
I find capital one is very easy where as Citizens Bank sucks for transfers bc they change a fee to move money to another bank.

The transfer is not difficult. You have to get your bank account verified first and then the max you can transfer at a time is 2K. It is free.

Also, the Chase offers are only visible via the Chase app.

Okay so I have some more questions for you. Our JR pass would be bought in advance and we plan on getting it at the end of this month. We are buying it through JTBUSA. Do you think that will come through as travel?

Also, while we are in Japan we planned on using PASMO cards for trains because you can just load it with money and scan your card at the turn stiles. I feel like the PASMO cards definitely won’t count towards travel but I’m not sure.
I would think if you are buying directly from the rail company, it will count as travel.
As, I’m typing I just rembered about the BPA Premium travel card. That one allows using statement credits on anything. I’m not sure what a PASMO card is, but if you are using a credit card for it, maybe you could use a card that does a statement credit for any category.

@Haley R You mentioned a few pages back about looking for Airbnb gift cards at Staples I think?... I found $50 ones at a Staples yesterday. Maybe another store would have them in stock for you?

Lot of people said they saw them on the app. I never downloaded the app but saw the offer in my email.
I clicKed the linK and it went to the page and i added it. From my laptop.

That's great. They said when they announced it that it could come in email too but I think your the first I've read to actually get one! I wonder since I have the app if they won't send me any through email. I'd rather do it all on the computer so that probably means I'll never see one :)

So my CSR travel credit just renewed, I plan to PC to a CF very soon with the fall of Disney stuff in the portal I have no reason to use the 1.5x and will either cash out or apply for a new CSR/P card if it returns since I will be out of the 4yr limit by then. So the question is, what codes as travel for gift cards? I have no non-point travel coming up, I only noticed it reset as they just refunded my two SWA 911 fees. LOL.

When you PC from a CSR to CF the account number does not change right? If I booked a package now but canceled later they don't go after the travel reimbursement? I can't nail down anything right now but I don't want to let the $300 walk either!

Spent the afternoon kicking myself in the butt! Just bought DW a new car and the finance guy asked if we wanted to pay the $5k we were putting down with a check or CC... So I asked if there was a fee for CC and he said not for you! Just felt very wrong to be putting it on a non-new CC. :rotfl2:Well at least got $50 for it. :cool1:

Can someone help me please? So my phone got wiped tonight and it's been a hassle to say the least to put everything back. I cannot get RMN to appear like it did before the wipe. I am logged in and yet there is nowhere for me to see my linked cards. I had $19 in rewards so I went ahead and moved out to my PayPal - and that did work... I just don't get it. I looked at my husband's RMN app account and I can see his linked cards. That line just doesn't exist for me. Advice? Anyone? I'm tearing my hair out over this.

Trying to figure out what I am doing also. I am about to buy DDs Amtrak ticket back to college and I may pick up a gift card too. Was also thinking of prepaying EZ pass. I also need to buy other DDs plane ticket, but she won't use till June so I am nervous to buy that one.

Why not just buy a refundable SW flight then cancel it in a month for a refund.

Would it not be better to buy a SW giftcard? Am I missing something? Wouldn't those funds then only be able to be used by @DaveL and not by anyone else in his house?
I’m saying buy a fully refundable SW ticket (or any airline really for that matter). You aren’t cancelling this for a future use credit...you are canceling for a full refund back to your card ;) When that refund occurs @DaveL will have received his travel credit long ago and have PCed the card to a CF. He’ll end up with a $300 Refund credit on the CC (and I’d use that by spending $300 in the 5% quarterly category).

Yeah pretty much on the same lines as what I was thinking. I was thinking more of booking a Disney package for late 2019 and then canceling it later... Just to see if it triggers any codes. Screw with their algorithms a bit after going three times last year and then canceling my only 2019 trip. :rotfl2:

Maybe we should all do this and then write letters to Chase saying we are using our Citi TY pts and Citi AA miles to pay for our Disney trips lol.

Removing Disney from the Chase Portal is the single reason of my upcoming CSR->CF PC. Even tho I didn't have plans for a Disney trip this year I had just planned on keeping the card until they did that.

On a side note, Can I just continue to use my steal CSR card after the CF PC? This is the FIRST card I have had for two years and not needed a replacement. Standard plastic cards only last 2~4 months in my wallet before splitting. :confused3

Edit: @SouthFayetteFan I was referring to Disney PINs. Never got one before, figured I would screw around and see if this all would trigger one in 2020.

HAHA - totally didn't realize that. But come to think of it...that would now send a message to both Chase and Disney! LOL!

Looking for Mint advice... How long does it take to set up for a churner? I’m thinking of blocking off a few hours next weekend to be able setup a dozen bank accounts & dozen cc’s?

(To my shame I lost track of one of my bank accounts this year in my excel spreadsheet- BoA- & ate $24 in fees over a couple months before I realized it. Apparently am not Churning Godess but normal churner...)
