Interesting because DH, DS and I all have AA accounts. Never get mailers. Ever.

Hmm, I wonder why. Do you fly AA? I created a new account last night but pretty sure dh & I had accounts from long ago. We've never gotten mailers either but we've also moved since then. We've not flown AA since before we had kids.

Hmm, well that isn't very encouraging! Reading some of the threads on the grAAvy train make it sound pretty easy. Maybe time for you to create some more accounts.

Nope, our credit is not frozen. We’ve applied for and received multiple Citi cards, always instant approval, but certainly not grAAvy train level. I may jump into it a little harder later in the year since I’m kind of floundering for a goal of any kind.

Have you tried fake names with your address? That’s the only way I’m getting them.

But I don't want to use a mailer that is actually to me, right? So, create accounts for all my kids and dh, or really best to create accounts for my plants (who do have names, btw ) and maybe the turtle?

Well, if they have names then they should count as family members IMHO. So they really should get their own frequent flyer numbers, in case they want to join you on your next vacation. We've been tossing those mailers out for a couple of years. Now that I want one I bet none will be arriving in the mailbox. DD was getting them all the time because she flies on AA about 10 times a year, but we tossed them since she's not really looking for a credit card. If only I had known... But then again it sounds like I need one sent to my fern or my ponytail palm, not to me.

i signed up for an AA account in Aug 2018... i got my first one 2 weeks ago... I dont have an AA card though. ive gotten 2-3 but im not sure if they are the 9 digit one or not. im not sure if its a biz one but 2 came in 1 day with different offers on it.

I've never seen Best Buy at Lowe's, and I looked before when Best Buy still did GC>GC, but Lowe's does sell Target ( and vice versa, Target sells Lowe's). However, if I'm not misunderstanding, you can't use a Lowe's GC to buy another GC. Just wanted to put that out there in case that was part of the plan. But if you had AmEx or Chase type offers, that will work on GCs.

My plan is to do the $50 off $250 at Lowes on my Amex. I guess I'll see what my lowes has. I liked the idea of best buy as I could get that whopping $2.29 from ebates, LOL.

The personal AA code I got does prefill out application with my address so I’m not comfortable sharing at this time. If anyone wants these tho really just make up names and they will come. I did like 5 fake accounts.

I need some quick help! I was approved for the SW business card and it arrived today. Next week we fly to NYC on the 28th. I'm hoping for the inflight offer for the Plus card.

Is it too close to my business app? It will have been a little over two weeks. Also, i need to cancel my current plus card asap (it is 4 years old or so)

Do you think I'll be OK? I'd like to to have the CP by March...

If you haven’t opened another Chase card close to the SW business, I’d think you’d be ok....
not sure how true it is but I’ve read if you close the Plus you should wait 31 days to apply for a new one or Chase may just reopen the old.
Another option is to apply for the SW Priority card...the fee is $149...but you get a $75 SW credit...bringing it down to $74

Do your citi biz cards show up on the same login as personal? Or do I have to do a separate login

Not sure if you got an answer but I’ve not been able to have both personal and biz on one login. CitiBiz is almost the worst website ever (Aviator Biz wins for worst) so don’t be surprised how awful it is and hard to set up. DH cancelled his CitiBiz after 7 months as we could not even get account alerts set up and it took multiple calls to Citi just to get e-statements.

Don't use your own. If you do, you'll never get another

I don't think I've ever done that but I could see my dh doing it on my behalf I opted in. I have gotten BGR mailers and sometimes capital one so maybe I wasn't opted out.

i did get a citi biz mailer... but insure if its the correct one. Its still sealed in my mailbox. i saw it in the USPS Daily Digest awhile ago.
at least i think, ill have to check later. currently in finals week :\

This is what I am wondering as well. If I don't want to use the ones that come to me because I won't receive anymore, then wouldn't that apply to ones to my dh also. I would think we'd both want to get the citi biz cards.

Also a very late reply to this question! I have two:
--The Great Wall in China w youngest (she was 14) and dh. It was a perfectly clear, sunny day. We went the opposite direction of everyone else so there we only came across 10 or so people during an hour of walking. It was amazing.
--Hiking in Denali National Park with dh. Alaska was my 50th state to visit

Both trips were pre-churning and -point-redemtions
