Genius. thank you! I am going to compare all these options and chat with the fam. I feel sure they older 3 will want to do Uni given the chance.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think esp for DH, who thinks walking up to the load zone without a line and having to wait for a train or 2 to load prior to his turn is "waiting in a line", I think EP is a necessity.

If you are looking at costs, then a throw away room may make the most sense instead of 2 rooms. The EP definitely spoils you! Especially now that they added it to all the Harry Potter area also. One thing you have to get used to at Universal is you have to locker at almost all the rides. They are free everywhere except the water rides for some reason. But they are very strict about it, especially the coasters, but even Men in Black, which is not much more than Buzz Lightyear, I guess because they spin you and it is an open car, but I had a crossbody small purse and they made me use a locker.

So I got into thinking I did my CSR/CSP last nov. received the bonus 11/21/17 and 1/2/18. With the new 48 month when is the next time I would qualify for a bonus?

Oof, would have to be after Jan of 2022. That hurts worse seeing a date in writing like that :headache:
48 months sounds so nebulous and not so bad even if it is a long time, until you see the date and realize it's the difference between a freshman and senior...

:offtopic: Kind of. I saw a post by Gary Leff at VftW that UAE is going to require advance approval of prescription medications for anyone (tourists and residents) there. I've seen some chatter on this board about visiting UAE regarding (un)acceptable PDA and drinking; this is another requirement to be aware of. Tagging @calypso726 since you mentioned going to Al Maha; don't know if this would even apply to you but you're the only one I know of planning on heading over there.
Good to know, thank you! I'll keep this in mind for youngest who has a lot of Middle East travel in her future.

Has anyone done the apply through account with chase? how long does it take them? I've tried calling in but its not showing up so wondering if it didn't actually apply for me.

...Also considered staying Hilton DTD for free and buying EP and having them Uber to USO. That way I could still take DD2 to MK for the day or mvmcp for the night while the others do US...
You do have some choices! Tbh I might be a bit more inclined towards this direction as Universal for a 2yo sounds tough & Uber between DTD & USO is definitely doable. Dr Suess Land was adorable- but for a couple hours at best I’d think.

yeah that seems so wrong to make people wait 4 years. seeing it written def makes it seem so much further away. hopefully by then they don't take away any bonuses would be nice to cancel and reapply in 4 years to get a bonus

I currently have the Marriott Biz which I opened 1/18. I just got an email to "upgrade" my card to the Premier Plus for 50k points. I thought the Premier Plus was the personal card though? I don't have a Marriott personal. What am I missing?

ETA: this is the email I got. Definitely looks like for the personal card.

Just spotted the increased Amex referrals incognito in the DD thread on /r/churning, so maybe take advantage of that sooner rather than later if you were planning to do it.

Chase is confused, the Premier Plus is definitely the personal.

Uh... take the offer and see what happens?

I’ve never applied from my account just from referrals....so when you call and put your SS number in its saying no applications?

I'm kind of interested to put my info in and see what it says... But then it's like, will it convert my biz to personal? Take up a 5/24 slot (not that I really care anymore, but I do want CIU in the spring)? Can I get SPG Personal later?

When you go to the upgrade site, you put in your info and click through to see your offer before you actually submit anything. My guess is you won't have anything and the email was just in error. But I am now curious... but yeah if the SPG Personal is a goal, maybe not the best idea, can't have that within 30 days of having any Marriott personal card.

I have a related (Uber/transportation question). On our last WDW day, we will be going to AK in the morning and then heading to US/RPR early afternoon. Staying at AKL. What is the best way to get from AK to AKL (to pick up luggage--I'm assuming there is nowhere to check/store it at the park) and then get from AKL to RPR? My first thought was Uber but I'm concerned about an Uber driver not knowing how to get from AK to AKL, and also would that be two Uber rides or one with a stop (is that possible)?

I got another Staples Credit yesterday. That puts me at $101.74 in total credits, $77.84 on my card and $23.90 on DHs employee card... I have one more charge that is still pending from DHs employee card, at $94. I'm just going to see what happens for a bit.
Quoting myself to say... I had my last credit post from Staples/AMEX offer. So I've gotten $77.84 on my card and $33.26 on DHs employee card... $111.10. Reddit told me that his employee card would count towards my $100 total credits. Now I will sit and see if I get a clawback... and if not maybe I spend a bit more before Nov 30th.

Exactly. I was thinking that since we are going to Uber from AKL to RPR, we might save time by starting with Uber at AK (rather than use Disney transportation) but not sure that's a good idea.

Dang. Honestly, that took longer than I thought to "get out" since I know I saw it within a few days of the super referral launching. But I was wondering this morning if that's why there's a couple anomalies in the referrals threads. There's a user with higher sign up bonuses listed on the rankt pages, but it's not really when I click the link. Gets exciting when you see $250 bonus on the Blue Cash no fee card but then when you follow the link it's only the usual $200 like everyone else's - still not sure why it's just one user though. The odds of that happening twice to just one name is astounding. (I was hoping it really was $250 as AmEx sent us a paper mailer with an offer to refer friends and they'd get $250 on that card BUT when I follow the link it's the same $200 as usual. Thought maybe that offer did exist somewhere and I could finally figure out how to get our link to match the paper)

But get your apps in, the AmEx moles will be tattling to the RATs any minute now and it'll be ruined for everyone in 5, 4, 3...

I agree that Chase is confused, but technically the Marriott Bizs are now also "Premier Plus" business cards. They were just automatically converted to the new product. So to get an upgrade email is just all around confusing. But hey, if you want to give me 50k Marriott points for a card I already have...:rolleyes1

I know you can add a stop to your trip, but I've never done it so I don't know how it works exactly. You could probably let your Uber driver know that you'll just be getting your bags and then going to RPR, if they are up for that trip they would probably wait near by... We ubered from RPR to Movies on our last trip, hopped out to drop our bags then called an uber to DS to meet some friends for brunch, and we got connected with the same driver because he was still in the drop off area :) I haven't done much bag drop off/pick up with deluxe hotels so I dont' know where AKLs is.
