I love credit cards so much!

Well there you go. I still don't have Precheck (or Global Entry), so I line up with the plebs. I have all these cards that offer credits for it, but I keep putting it off. SMH.

Whaaaaat??? I just assumed you had Global. And yes, that's where they just seem to know what we are doing.

Time to bite the bullet and make that appointment!

It's awesome - and even worth the huge pain (for us at least) of going to SFO and paying for parking 3 separate times (because, you know, the gov't can't be bothered with letting us make 3 appointments on the same day :rolleyes1). It really comes in handy at MCO, too. Oh, and after the LHR-SFO flight the customs line was super long and winding back and forth, theme park style. The Global Entry line was empty. I think we saved at least an hour of our time, if not two, just on that one day.

Is there any way to use chase points for frontier flights? Or will we just have to pay for those out of pocket?
Frontier usually shows up in the UR portal for me. But definitely compare - our tickets home Labor Day weekend I paid cash with Frontier, because I caught one of their sales and it came to $100 total for 2 tickets. Chase had the flight on the portal for regular price (I think $80ea). So I could have even cashed out 10k URs as a statement credit to cover my $100 cash purchase (plus I earned 300 URs on it) vs the 10,667 points it was through the portal. So you could end up with the best of both worlds!
But this is for your Japan trip, right? So don't forget bags :)

Just a small complaint...I had to attend a meeting at another federal agency today (who have their own building) and I was going through their security when the metal detector went off. The guard made me take off my strappy heels to go through again. So demoralizing! I said to the group I was meeting with I don't even have to take off my shoes to go through security at the airport thanks to TSA pre-check. I wish I could have shown it along with my federal badge.

The downside to all those new metal CCs :p

Since I need to wait until the end of this month to apply for the CiP (assuming the Aspire doesn't hit my credit report before then), I took some proactive action and lowered a bunch of my Chase credit lines. I had lowered the CL on my Marriott biz last week from $5k to $1k since I'm planning to cancel that card anyway when the AF hits. I didn't realize Chase had given me such a low CL on that card until looking at it with a view to trying to free up some room for the CIP. Figuring I might be reaching my CL limit with Chase, today I lowered the CLs across my portfolio of personal Chase ccs (other than the CSR -- I need that humongous $46k CL to pay for some of our guided trips) by $30k+. Hoping that will put me in a better position for my CIP app.

Help! DH upgraded his CSP to CSR last week. Cards arrived today. There is one with my name! I do not want to be AU and use a 5/24 spot. DH insists he did not ask for a card for me. How do I un-AU myself and make sure it does not go on my credit report (and how would it when they didn’t ask for a SS#?)

And this is my beef with Disney. You have to decide over 6 months early when you want ice cream. Seriously??? I just think it is getting ridiculous, but clearly there are still many people who love it enough that they don't mind. Don't shun me people.
We did it last year as a birthday celebration for DS. He requested it this year also (we’ll be at WDW 10 days after his bday). I wanted 7 pm but got 5:40 on the night I wanted and 7:30 another night. I’ll cancel one. TBH if you want a res at a popular restaurant in Chicago you will need to book at least 6 months in advance for many of them. It’s not right but it’s reality

thats a good point, perhaps @Haley R should transfer her UR points to SW. free baggage!

First, have DH call Chase and remove you as an AU. From there, my understanding is it will eventually come off your credit report. You could also file a dispute, though. I've done this.

You can file a dispute with Experian from their website (Support --> Disputes), and I believe you can dispute TransUnion and Equifax via Credit Karma. This process takes about 30 days.

We had the kitchen sink last year and 3 of us finished it. :rolleyes1

No shame! I'm pretty sure DD, DB and I could have finished it off easily. We were just nice and shared with DF, DN and DH. It did avoid major tummy aches so there's that :P

Next Dec we're going on a cruise for my parents' 50th anniversary and DB told me yesterday they'd rather do US prior to the cruise. This is quite a change (what's the point of having a niece if she doesn't want to do princess meals?) in mindset so guess I'll be researching US. The last time we were at the dark side was 2010 I think...

@Lain Just Do It!...keep checking and openings will pop up. Life will seriously be better, I promise.

I’m weirdly excited that DH, DS and I have all applied for GE. They have their interviews scheduled for January. I’m still waiting to schedule mine. And yes all of them paid for by CC.

The last time I checked, the earliest one could schedule an interview was about 6 months out!
I scheduled DH and DS during first week of January when school is out. OHare seemed to have quite a few openings.

You were just telling me to get it! :rotfl:

Anyone try the Enrollment on Arrival and doing the interview as part of immigration coming back from an international trip? That sounds fairly painless.

Think I would need a reservation for Beaches and Cream for a lunch time? We had talked about going here a couple years ago. Beginning of March on a Sunday but hate to make reservations as not knowing how quick things go after landing. Wanted to check Jelly Rolls a couple years back but probably pass this round with little ones.
I think I read the counter is reserved for walk ups, so I’d look into that. At one point when we were there the entire counter was empty at lunch last trip.

ETA: I also vaguely recall hearing they changed the burgers at Hurricane Hannahs to the same B&C (?) use so that’s another thing to look into if it’s burgers you’re after...

I have done it before, took a week or so for a dispute with Experian. But how would I be an AU without my SSN? (I am 100% certain DH did not give them that. While I may have memorized his, he barely knows his own, not mine)
Also I thought there was a charge for CSR AU?
