Had DH call Chase about retention offers on his SW Premier card. Was expecting a HUCA situation and needing him to try again tmrw, but shockingly, the call took 10min and most of it was the rep rattling off the “benefits”. I had DH outright ask, “I’m considering closing this card, so I wanted to see if there are there any retention offers available”. He barely finished the sentence and the rep immediately said she saw there’s a statement credit that is available and asked if he would like to accept. Ummm, yes 
Now we can keep the card open so I can refer myself at the end of the year hopefully for CP to replace the expiring CP that DH got last year
