Hi guys, hoping someone can help me out!
Heading to Disney in November of 2018 with my family of 5 - will end up needing about $10,000 in Disney GC's and looking to fly Boston to Orlando via JetBlue - generally only spend about $1k/mo on credit cards, pay off at the end of the month - what would you guys suggest?
I currently have a Chase Disney Visa and just opened a Discover It to guy GC's at 5% off at BJ's with 5% cash back .
Typically, everyone will recommend u apply for chase cards first. It is because they have a rule where u can only apply for 5(total) credit cards per 24 month. Chase also has a quadfecta depending on what u qualify for. but their partners for Airlines are United, Southwest, Flyblue. Hotel chains are Hyatt and Marriott.(i might have missed a few). Anyways, if your hearts is set to fly JetBlue, id probably apply for the JetBlue card with Barclay. If your buying $10,000 worth of Disney GC, probably the best is the Business Ink Cash +
Sams Club, if u want cash back, maybe the amex Blue card that does 6%. are options too. Your Discover It also works too. Going the Ink Cash will earn points that u can redeem with UA/Southwest.
You could aim for a hotel at WDW, find out who their CC partners are, and apply for it. save up points, u can basically have a free hotel for the entire trip. If you dont want to earn points, theres also cards that help knock down the cost like the prestige card, it gives u the 4th night free.

@Albort's and
@CyndiLouWho's good advice, another benefit of earning Ultimate Rewards ("UR") points through Chase is you can redeem the points for a very wide range flights, hotels, car reservations, activities, etc. through Chase's travel portal at a redemption rate that's often better than cash back.
You can even find a number of WDW resort hotels on the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal!
If you get the Chase Sapphire Preferred ("CSP") card, your points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Ultimate Rewards; and if you have the Sapphire Reserve ("CSR"), your points are worth 50% more when redeemed for travel with Chase. Both cards come with large 50,000 UR points signup bonuses when you meet their minimum spend requirements. They also come with annual fees that you have to decide whether you find enough value to pay.
So I signed up for the CSR card in December, and got my wife to sign up for her own CSR card in January for the then-100,000 UR points bonus. We met the minimum spends and have become smart about putting expenses that qualify for the card's dining and travel 3x bonus categories. We also have a Chase Freedom card that we use for expenses falling under the rotating 5x bonus categories, and then we transfer those points to our CSRs. In four months, we've accumulated about ~247,500 UR points between the two of us, and a few thousand more pending. ETA: We'll eventually pool our points together when we spend a lot of those points on a WDW vacation in a few years.
For example, a search of the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal for WDW resort hotels in the first week of December 2017 shows rooms at the following hotels starting at:
Disney’s Pop Century – 8,279 points/night
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort – 11,574 points/night
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – 13,233 points/night
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter – 14,529 points/night
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside – 14,603 points/night
Walt Disney World Swan – 17,715 points/night
Walt Disney World Dolphin – 19,175 points/night
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – 22,041 points/night
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – 22,556 points/night
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground – 23,328 points/night
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa – 24,070 points/night
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn – 29,042 points/night
Disney’s Beach Club Resort – 29,433 points/night
Disney’s Contemporary Resort – 29,661 points/night
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort – 30,041 points/night
Disney’s Old Key West Resort – 31,804 points/night
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – 32,643 points/night
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – 42,022 points/night
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village – 44,205 points/night

It's a good feeling knowing that our next stay at WDW will be fully covered by points.
