Last week, Daraius announced that "[he] will no longer be involved with the management and writing of Million Mile Secrets."

Apparently, Daraius got caught with three separate accounts on Ashley Madison (the dating and affairs site for married people) as part of that massive hack back in about August 2015.

In November 2015, Daraius and Emily announced their divorce.

In May 2016, MMS announced their sale to Bankrate.

This is all news to me (but I don't really follow the personal lives of the bloggers I read). I really wouldn't be surprised if selling MMS to Bankrate was precipitated by the divorce. The blog was probably Daraius and Emily's most significant jointly-owned asset, and a sale would've been the easiest way to fix a value and liquidate that asset to distribute in a divorce.

If I do this and use my Amex Spg Biz do you think that will be a problem? I.e. have the money not count towards the minimum spend and/or flag Amex to start watching my account?

Amex is seriously so difficult. It will be a huge relief to meet this spend and then take a break from them for a while.

Amex is seriously so difficult. It will be a huge relief to meet this spend and then take a break from them for a while.

I’ve bought gift cards from Raise and Target online and both have earned points/counted towards Amex MSR. I don’t know about Cashstar personally, but I haven’t seen any negative DPs re Amex.

P.S. (For those not working on an Amex MSR) isn’t there a PayPal checkout option for 5x UR on Freedom?

Thanks! We’re going to stick with Aer Lingus because they have the direct flight from BDL. We normally drive to JFK for international flights, but we are a half hour from BDL and my mom is 10 minutes away, so we can save time and stress by parking at her place and having her drop us off at the airport. Not to mention it’s worth a few extra dollars to avoid NYC. ​

I was going to do that a few weeks ago but I read the terms and decided not to... Two 'Rewards' per person, but they limit the total payouts to 1000 Rewards... So how do you know if you are going to get one before you buy... you don't. So you have to pretty much assume at this point they are all claimed by now.

Can you buy your own shingles at Lowes and use a cc. Then just pay the contractor for labor? We saved quite a bit this way. 10% off Lowes coupons are plentiful.

i was told by my tax guy not to do this because then your considered the employer and if the worker gets hurt, then you become responsible for it. Could be wrong though. Could be a good question to your tax guy in your state.

I am my own tax guy - lol! That makes sense if you go out and hire your own crew.

In our case, we paid a roofing company for labor only (the workers were their employees). We simply supplied our own materials.

Hi all!

I have the Chase Ink Preferred and am currently trying to meet minimum spend. Does anyone know if pin enabled visa gc still work to purchase money orders at Walmart and/or Meijer. I’m planning to buy some Disney gc also to pay off membership dues for rest of year as well as stock up for trips this fall. I still have a month and a half but would like to knock off a large chunk soon. I have plenty of everyday spend in the mix as well.

Open to other suggestions on how to meet spend as well.
